Rapha Super Cross Series returns for 2012

Races at first-time venues in Skipton and Lutterworth, plus a return to Ally Pally

The Rapha Super Cross Series, which made its debut last year, returns in October for another set of three races, with Skipton in North Yorkshire and Lutterworth, Leicestershire hosting the event for the first time, while once again the season finale will be at North London’s Alexandra Palace.

Ahead of its debut last year, Rapha promised that the series would bring a Belgian-style atmosphere to cyclocross racing to the UK, with DJs and live music plus of course, beer, frites and waffles, being as essential a part of the day as the action itself.

Once again there are a number of races across the age groups, starting at under-10s and going all the way up to elite level, plus separate races for women and for adults new to cyclocross.

Full details, including how to enter, can be found on the Rapha website - the Elite race is invitation only - and entrance to all three venues is free for spectators.

I've signed up for the fun race.

I'm not even going to attempt to race "seriously" if someone is offering me a Tequila shortcut and a Wall of Foam.

Had a great day at Ally Pally last year - well worth the entry fee (it's free for spectators!)
