#MyCyclingWeekend with Decathlon

Featuring better weather than Italy!

Having had a lovely weekend of cycling, we settled down for some Sunday afternoon Giro watching and for once, we were glad not to be in Italy!

An uphill Time Trial in biblical rain is not the way we'd choose to spend a Sunday...

Before we get onto our winner, just a quick shoutout to Big Dave who got an early start to his #MyCyclingWeekend by starting on Friday. He needed a bit of a headstart though as he clocked up over 600km for a single ride, arriving home (very hungry) on Saturday afternoon!

Dave's 600km Ride

Back to the competition and our winner this week and taking home some fresh bar tape is Charlotte!

Some of the best rides include a pub stop and a casual roll along to lunch sounds much nicer than that rainy TT, or a 600km epic!

Congrats Charlotte, we'll be in touch.

There were loads of great entries this week, check out some of the best below.

Big day out today to Rhayader to ride the Elan Valley trail - supposedly one of Britain’s best cycling routes. My verdict; it’s a cracker even with the wind and rain which made the descents a little sketchy I’ll make the effort to go back when the weather is better Stunning scenery, great climbs, quiet roads, nobody about and no close passes from traffic. Simply brilliant! #cyclist #cycling #lovecycling #cyclinglove #rideestsleeprepeat #instacycle #mickeycrankscyclingclub #iamspecialized #rideyourbikeandhavefun #sworks #sworkstarmac #iamspecialized #iamspecialized_road #bikeporn #lifebehindbars #roadbike #whereiride #fromwhereiride #mycyclingweekend #ridingintotheweekend #outsideisfree #countryside #elanvalley #wales #rhayadder

Son of a Marathon runner, Nephew of a National 24hr Champion, the racing genetics have completely passed him by. After joining the staff in 2016 as a reviewer, Liam quickly started writing feature articles and news pieces. After a little time living in Canada, where he spent most of his time eating poutine, Liam returned with the launch of DealClincher, taking over the Editor role at the start of 2018. At the weekend, Liam can be found racing on the road both in the UK and abroad, though he prefers the muddy fields of cyclocross. To date, his biggest race win is to the front of the cafe queue.
