This weekend was brilliant for two reasons.
Firstly, the Giro began, starting three weeks of entertainment for us to definitely not watch while at work...
Secondly, after what felt like months, the sun finally returned! We could finally sit outside at the cafe again and it seems like many of you headed out to do the same.
Up for grabs this week was a handly little C02 inflator. They can really get you out of a pinch(flat), especially when you puncture a long way from home.
Our winner this week captured his club mates all grabbing a scenic shot for Instagram!
Congratulations to Matthew, we'll be in touch.
Have a look below for some of the best entries of the weekend. Decathlon will be back for more on Friday!
Another “this time last week” photo. With @kryan120 after the first 30 miles on the French side of the ride, to get to breakfast. Puddles in our shoes and soaked to the bone! I was dreading the next 30 miles to the next snack stop (snack stops are life), but it ended up being my favourite stretch of the whole journey. Normandy villages and beautiful countryside (and most importantly, no hills for 30 miles)
If you look carefully on the top of the hill on the right you can see where I took the previous photo, now the only drawback to coming down to Monsal Dale is that at some point I’ve got to climb back out again #whatgoesdownmustcomeup #hills #fromwhereiride #roadslikethese #cycle #mycyclingweekend #lifebehindbars #ridelots #outsideisfree #cycling #cyclingshots #cyclingpics #cyclinglife #scenicbritain #cyclisme #cyclingphotos #englandsgreenandpleasantland #landscape #bicycle #bicyclelife #instacycling #ridelife #ridegiant
Son of a Marathon runner, Nephew of a National 24hr Champion, the racing genetics have completely passed him by. After joining the road.cc staff in 2016 as a reviewer, Liam quickly started writing feature articles and news pieces. After a little time living in Canada, where he spent most of his time eating poutine, Liam returned with the launch of DealClincher, taking over the Editor role at the start of 2018. At the weekend, Liam can be found racing on the road both in the UK and abroad, though he prefers the muddy fields of cyclocross. To date, his biggest race win is to the front of the cafe queue.
