What do you love about road.cc? What drives you nuts about it? What kind of rider are you? What are you into? We’re always trying to make the site work better for our readers, and to do that we need to understand what sort of cyclists you are, and what interests you.
To that end, we’ve spun up our 2018 user survey. It’s been a couple of years since we did one of these, and it helps us to get a snapshot of the readership, what’s working on the site, and what isn’t. And we’d love you to fill it in to add your voice to the mix. The more people that fill it in, the better informed we’ll be.
As an extra incentive, we’ll be giving away £100 of Wiggle vouchers to one lucky respondent. Make sure you enter your email address at the end if you want to be in with a chance of winning. That’s the only thing we’ll be using your email address for, though: the survey is anonymous and we’ll only be looking at and sharing aggregated data, not individual responses.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. Thanks in advance for taking the time to fill it out!

That’d be the sarky comments that someone else thinks of before I do.
Sorry, got bored halfway
Sorry, got bored halfway through and gave up. You need a survey designer.

It’s a survey, not entertainment. I figure if it helps this site focus its content better, then it’s worth it. It’s a free site so it’s the least I could do.

A long fifteen minutes, I learned a bit more abut myself too!
It’s not a free site. It is
It’s not a free site. It is full of adverts and we pay with our data.

That’s a bit of a rubbish comment. It costs you exactly the full amount of zero pounds to come here, comment, read and trot away to the next internet site, where you’ll probably agree to accept their cookies.

Judging by some of the survey questions they’d like it not to be free for much longer
Is really anonymous ?
Is really anonymous ?
There’s no jiggery-pokery with IP addresses is there ?

I guess by keeping it anonymous no one will know who didn’t win the £100…..
Survey done. You do need a
Survey done. You do need a survey designer though, there were no squirrel related questions at all
.
How about adding this:
Please tell us your views on squirrels on road.cc.
A) I do not want squirrel related content on road.cc.
B) I would like less squirrel related content on road.cc.
C) I would like more squirrel related content on road.cc.
D) I would like lots more squirrel related content on road.cc and would like to see Hawkinspeter be made the official road.cc spokesman for all squirrel related content.

Apologies. I’ve just realised
Apologies. I’ve just realised that with an ad-blocker on, the words ‘road.cc’ disappear from all text on the site.
So for me (Adblock Plus and Firefox) the first sentence of Dave’s article reads ‘What do you love about ?’ Hence my snide comment about proofreading, which I now (partially) retract.

Reminds me of those auto-bowdlerisers that removed naughty words wherever they found them & were briefly popular a few years ago. Articles on common British garden birds, for example, suffered as a result. 😉
I use uBlock which doesn’t seem to have any such problems. The only drawback is I haven’t been able to find a way to turn it off but that’s probably just me being thick.
