Cycle to Work Day returns on Wednesday 15th August, with the national health and well being event aiming to increase awareness of cycle commuting and appeal to both experienced and beginner cyclists alike.

Over 2 million collective miles have been ridden by commuters on Cycle to Work Day since it began in 2012, and both employers and employees are being encouraged to spread the word to their colleagues who might be apprehensive about cycle commuting… accessibility, affordability and fun are the big reasons of course, and with any luck those who get on their bikes for the first time on the day can stick to their healthier habit.

Cyclescheme, who are behind Cycle to Work Day, have also partnered with Cannondale and Specialized for this year’s event, offering a £30 reward voucher to anyone who buys a bike priced at £500 or more until the 31st August; you can spend the voucher in the store where you purchased your new steed.
