As you may know, Greg Van Avermaet is a long-time user of Strava – his 2016 gold medal-winning ride in the road race at the Rio Olympics got more kudos than any other activity on the social network that year.
Now, he’s posted his latest success – Sunday’s fourth and concluding stage of the Tour de Yorkshire where the BMC Racing rider led the chasing group home behind escapee Stephane Rossetto of Cofidis to clinch the overall title.
Van Avermaet bagged some KOMs on Strava his way to the win in a performance that puts down a marker for the UCI Road World Championships to be held in Yorkshire in September 2019.
