Five cool Christmas presents

You may have noticed that every week we preview/brag about some of the coolest-looking kit, bikes and tech we’ve been out testing prior to the reviews being published… for this special festive edition though, we gave you the chance to show us some of the best, most interesting or downright silliest bike-related things you’ve got for Christmas, and our five favourites have each won themselves a pair of road.cc socks. As well as the handsome selection of energy products from Wiggle, we're liking these bike chocolates from Choc on choc, an independent British chocolatier based in a small village near road.cc's native Bath. Bike Balls rear light

road.cc reader Jim bagged himself a pair of the self-proclaimed "world's most over-confident bike lights". This scrotally awesome invention began on Kickstarter two years ago and of course doubled its funding target, so you can now buy them from a whole host of sensible retailers. The balls clip onto your saddle rails and swing around freely, which apparently increases visibility, and contain powerful LED's. 

Bike booze holder

We're liking this classy cycle-shaped metal wine holder, the perfect gift for fans of bikes and booze. We couldn't find the exact design posted above by our comp winner, but here's a similar one we found if you like the idea.

While it's not the most glamorous gift, we appreciated the lengths Kris Hogg's ride buddies went to in order to save themselves from spray on their next ride! Bespoke cycling wall plaque

£priceless!

We've saved the best till last... "After years of novelty garbage, I get this beauty from the in-laws. Commissioned by them, made by another relative and much adored by this roadie", says Beecho in our comments section. It's unique, it's bike-themed and it's a worthy competition winner... an inspired gift from the in-laws.
