It's enough to make you give up road cycling and take up something safer, like base jumping or crocodile wrestling.
Can we have a follow up on whether the driver is being prosecuted?
Though their judges dont seem to be as lenient as ours, Australian police are just as bad as UK plod in their motorcentric bias, so dont expect much joy.
After the close pass laws and massive increases in cyclng fines were introduced in NSW, there were over 1,500 prosecutions ... to people on bikes (1,100 for no helmet @$319 a pop) but a massive FOUR for close pass infringements which attract the same financial penalty as not wearing a helmet!
Poor bicycle, very good news she was OK.
