Something lovely about technology breaking down physical and language barriers here as Firas Warda, a young Syrian cyclist is in the middle of trying out for a place on the Marco Polo Cycling Team, uses Skype Translator to receive directions and encouragement from his coach. Not sure where he puts that iPad on his ride though.

L' A R T I C A  I S  C O M I N G

L’Artica is an event that’s in Lonigo near Vicenza in North Eastern Italy that’s in its fifth year in 2017. To be ridden on vintage bikes there are three courses to choose from across the barren and empty Winter countryside, the longest being 105 Km. As this is Italy the rides are well stocked with refreshment stops, get there by Sunday and you can join in.

It’s been a bit nippy out lately hasn’t it? Has it been so cold you have to warm your face up on some pizza? Probably not. This is a snippet from the ‘Length Of Sweden’ film by Specialized released this week documenting a group of riders covering 21 hundred kilometers in a week to complete the world's longest brevet.
