Mountain Mayhem sportive: come and join us this weekend!

Sun forecast for Sunday as Mayhem draws closer...

The weekend's coming! Okay it's only Wednesday but we're excited because we're off to the Malvern hills to have fun on our bikes at the (deep breath) Original Source Mountain Mayhem Sportive sponsored by Verenti bikes. And it's going to be all warm and sunny and everything!*

The sportive shares an event village with Mountain Mayhem, one of the biggest and best-loved MTB festivals of the year, so there's plenty to see and do. There's a lot of i-dotting and t-crossing going on at the event village right now and from Saturday we'll be there with our little tent (next to Wiggle's big tent), look out for the road.cc flags and come and say hi. We're even bringing a few beers along so sportivers can sup a cold one and take in the atmosphere and the MTB racing before knocking out 100km or 50km on a beautiful, fully waymarked course. You'll probably even be back in time for the finish of the 24-hour race.

The start will be open from 8am-9am and all riders will be electronically timed. You'll get a goody bag when you finish and we'll send you a personalised finishing certificate to remind you of your great day out. And you can camp all weekend too, all for £22.

See below for the route recce video: the course has a couple of stiff climbs in it but nothing too arduous, so it should be a happy and sunny day in the saddle. The 50km route only has one big hill in and that's right at the start, so it's a great starter sportive if you've never tried one before.

There's still places for Sunday so if you fancy coming to join us then click on the big flashy button below. See you there? We hope so!

*the BBC say so anyway, and they're never wrong about the weather. What? 1987? A what? He said what? Oh.
