Thames Valley Police have launched an investigation into a collision which resulted in the death of a cyclist in Buckinghamshire, reports the Bucks Herald.

Mairead Mary Boucherat was killed after colliding with a black Nissan Qashqai at around 10.30am on Saturday May 30 on the B4009, Tring Hill, Aston Clinton, near to the junction of Upper Icknield Way.

Boucherat was cycling with her husband while preparing for the London to Brighton Cycle on June 21. They were to ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

In a statement, the family said:

“A wonderfully joyful mother, wife, auntie, daughter, friend and soul mate. Mairead was also a teacher and special needs base leader who had worked selflessly in Hertfordshire primary schools for over 25 years.

“She is hugely missed by her loving husband and son, dear parents, wider family and by her many friends and colleagues, all of whom are devastated by their sudden loss.

“Thank you to so many for your kind tributes and support and for the additional fundraising in honour of Mairead by George and the Tring Velo Club. Do please continue to support, comment and contribute, this has been a great help to us.”

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact PC Colin Riley from Amersham roads policing on non-emergency number 101.
