Was it a single or double decker? Knock out!
Brilliant! But to echo other comments, if "suspected bike thief" wasn't a factor in this story then there would be an outcry about another cyclist being knocked off their bike by a vehicle and potentially killed or seriously injured. The fact that he is a "suspected" bike thief seems to have changed the warcry to one of karma.
Interesting stuff!
I'm in two minds about this one. One the one hand, huzzah the suspected bike theif came a cropper. On the other, it is (yet another) example of a "professional driver" hitting another cyclist.
Unless you know the circumstances then perhaps keep your minds open.
The report does say 'hit by a bus' rather than 'hit a bus'.
he could be hit by the bus after leaving the pavement right in front (quick getaway ) or it could be the drivers fault.
In general, LRT bus drivers really are professional drivers, and LRT conducted cyclist awareness training for its staff. It really shows - the bus drivers in Edinburgh are pretty courteous, and attentive drivers.
Hope the bike was OK...
Quite glad it's only minor injuries but definitely karma at work there!
You just cant beat a bit of good news!!!!
Makes me think of that song by Radiohead - I take it that it was attended by Karma Police?
Oh darn, he only suffered minor injuries. I was hoping for a happier ending.
