Hot on the heels of the Downfall vs Bike Registration vid comes this one starring Bjarne Riis, who's not best chuffed to find out that Muur and the Bosberg have been removed from this year's Tour of Flanders. Contains multiple uses of the phrase "crotch eagle" and anti-UCI sentiment in abundance. Worth a watch then, eh.

@the little onion It is quite galling to read that Cabango is the Swansea Captain. He is hardly setting a good example to his team mates and fans etc.
@leedorney Great, me neither, but reviews are written for people other than you and I. These are "Tubeless Ready" tyres. They are marketed to work as Tubeless, so it wouldn't be good if the reviewer didn't test them as tubeless for those buying them for tubeless use.
@wtjs Entirely possible that it was a lie. Given the ban is in place, if he doesn't move his family could he be charged with lying in court?
@tomlew With that logic we should ban all laptops and mobile phones from trains.
@mitsky the ban would require him to move his family He was just telling a tale- it would be easier and cheaper to just pay for a driver/ chauffeur! Bet he doesn't move.
@mdavidford Or even A Clockwork Orange, another dystopian classic by Tim Burgess.
It also tells you NOT to overtake on the approach to a junction or a bend, and specifically and repeatedly admonishes cyclists to take great care passing vehicles near junctions. The driver may well have seen the cyclist on the approach and reasonably assumed that they wouldn't make a suicide dive up the inside of the turn. They should have indicated, but I'm not convinced it would have made any difference to the situation.
The clip states that Ben Cabango pled for mercy as the ban would require him to move his family. This is an "exceptional hardship" plea. Which was ignored. That is the most serious one I've heard of (having to move family), alongside others such as "losing job" etc. So if that sort of plea can be disregarded, why can't other lesser pleas?
@Surreyrider Don't need to travel so far! This is Mini YE10 AJU- he must have thought he was already over the IVASL (Invisible Very Advanced Stop Line) and therefore, according to Lancashire Constabulary, entitled to continue over the Virtual Stop Line. Of course, there was no response from the police https://upride.cc/incident/ye10aju_mini_redlightcross/
@the little onion Should have gone to Lancashire!
