@mdavidford Even more pedantically only the duck's heels seem to be in their cycling shoes. Maybe it is some new-fangled open webbed-toe cycling shoe to be used with what looks like an extra-high bottom bracket somewhere up the seat tube. Another oddity is that either all these bikes have very short cranks or they've been assembled incorrectly with both cranks facing in the same direction.

@the infamous grouse I think the thing you're missing in all of this is that a robust defence is a requirement of securing a conviction in a legal system that aims to prevent false prosecutions as much as possible. Without defence counsel doing their jobs a conviction wouldn't be worth anything and we wouldn't be able to sit here confident that Richardson is a murderer asking how anyone could defend him in the first place.

Meanwhile life-threatening driving has been officially decriminalised in Derbyshire. Times has been strangely silent on that one. Wonder why?

@Backladder I'm going to take a wild guess that this offence has not been enforced anywhere in the last five years. But also ... if there's a designated "play street" where motor vehicles aren't allowed, why the heck is the penalty only two points anyway!?

@wtjs Every - and I mean EVERY - close pass is a deliberate active choice to prioritise driver convenience over the life of a another human being. Don't want to prosecute them? Sure. Offer them a driver improvement course, or points and a fine. You'll find out soon enough if it's actually a "moment" of poor judgement, because if it isn't then they'll be back up again. Let them off, and you'll never know - because every time will just be another "moment".

I have to assume the reviewer's correct when he says they're red, but to me they look orange. Also: "Battery life is quoted at 7.5hrs/15hrs on steady" could do with some clarification. Why is one figure twice as high as the other?
