Whether it’s for your mum, dad, brother, friend, significant other or even… a little treat for yourself (you deserve it), you don’t need to spend a fortune to impress this Christmas. We’ve rounded up some of the best and most useful gifts for cyclists under £50, and yes, there’s not a pizza cutter in sight…
From practical accessories to fun extras, each item has been tried, tested, and approved by our reviewers, so you can be confident your gift will hit the mark this Christmas. Don’t get us wrong, £50 is still a decent chunk of cash to spend on a gift, but with this guide, you can make sure it’s money well spent. Lots of them cost much less than 50 quid, too.
Feel free to share your own recommendations in the comments section below, because as much as we’d like to, we won’t be able to cover ALL incredible gifts under £50, and maybe we’ll discover something we didn’t know we needed.
Keep your eyes peeled for more gift guides in the coming days which the road.cc elves are working hard on…

Id rather it was cheap gifts
Id rather it was cheap gifts for ‘cyclists’ to buy. If there is one thing I dread each yeear its the cycling related naff gifts. I tell family DO NOT buy me any cycle stuff ever! Unless your happy to cough up £300 for a new Garmin or the entry to a sportive I am very selective on what I buy for me and my bike.

I broadly agree – it’s risky to buy cycling stuff for a cyclist without talking to them first. This list might well be good cycling products, but that doesn’t mean they would be good gifts for the cyclist in your life. E.g. the Joe Blow is a good pump, but I don’t need another one! In general with cycling stuff, I either already have it, don’t want/need it, or would be pernickety about exactly which one I get.
But rather than your blanket ban, my family and I have mutually agreed to write lists for each other. It removes some of the mystique, but we think it’s better to get something we know the other person will actually use, rather than a “thoughtful” present that just gathers dust.

My wonderful better half has been getting me random Rapha stuff. She loves me.
And puts up with the flat having a lot of bike stuff about…
I can’t see much Rapha stuff
I can’t see much Rapha stuff costing under £50 tbh. Unless it’s a pair of socks.

I’m a sucker for a road cc hard sell.
You need to have more
You need to have more mechanicals. Constant use keeps the rust away, like train tracks.

I’m at my daughter’s house in Leeds, on some labouring jobs. I’m also installing a Hollowtech BB, I always carry the Prestacycles set anyway, and because it’s so useful it’s worth looking after and keeping in plastic bags! I think some wire brush work and always drying it out will restore your faith in this excellent little kit.
