Is this the most hyped launch of 2026? Perhaps the most hyped ever in the MTB world! The Avinox’s second drive systems, the MS2 and M2, have finally been released. The gag order is off, and we can now, FINALLY, talk about all the new e-MTBs shipping with the latest (and greatest?) motor system.

What is the Avinox M2S?

Ok, so you’ve been too busy riding and hitting the trails for the past few months to even know what the Avinox M2S is. Well, here are the headline details. The M2S is the 2nd drive system to be released from Avinox (formerly DJI), and with it comes a bunch of new updates. The outgoing Avinox M1 offered 105Nm of Torque (120Nm peak) and 1000 watts, but the M2S builds on those headline grabbing numbers with a monstrous 130Nm Torque (150Nm peak) and up to 1500w of power (but that all depends on which battery your bike is running otherwise you ‘ONLY’ get 1300w) Plus, Avinox tells us the M2S is quieter than the M1.

That’s not all, as Avinox is also unleashing the M2. It’s a lesser-powered version of the M2S that rustles up 125Nm of torque and 1,100W at peak power.

So, now you’re all up to date, let’s delve into all the e-MTBs that have been announced with the new M2S.

Commencal Meta Power SX Avinox

Commencal has played the looonnnnggg game! Remember that Avinox Meta Power SX, the Andorran brand announced last year, but had a launch date of April 2026? Yeah, it’s an M2S bike, and customers who preordered that gorgeous piece of bicycle engineering will soon be receiving their bikes with the new motor. I’ve been fortunate enough to have ridden the Meta Power SX Avinox in M1 guise, and it was and still is one of the most balanced, capable and fun bikes I’ve ridden.

Now, here’s the interesting point. Any brand releasing an Avinox M2S model based around the 800 Wh battery that was designed for the M1 system, like the Commencal, will max out at 1300 watts of peak power. So while the Commencal boasts the new motor and up to 150Nm torque, it won’t get that max peak watt output.

As we go through each model, I’ll mention which gets 1500w and which gets 1300w (but let’s be honest, 1300w is still a huge upgrade over the M1’s 1000w).

Commencal Meta Power SX Avinox specs:

  • Frame material: Alloy
  • Travel: F – 170mm / R- 160mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: Mullet only
  • Price: £6600 – £10450

YT Industries Decoy X

The YT Decoy X takes the geometry of the Decoy SN but packages it in a new hydroformed alloy frameset and Avinox M2S motor with an 800Wh battery. The result is a mullet enduro bike with 170mm of front wheel travel and 160mm out back managed via YT’s V4L kinematic platform.

Riders of all sizes will rejoice over the fact that the new Decoy X will be available in five sizes, ranging from S all the way to XXL, again impressive considering first-gen Avinox bikes were unable to fit an 800Wh battery in frames smaller than a medium.

YT intends to release the Decoy X with a launch edition build sporting a Fox Podium fork, custom-tuned X2 Shock, SRAM X0 Transmission, Maven brakes and DT Swiss HX1500 wheels.

The launch edition bike will retail for £8,499.

Frame material: Alloy
Travel: F – 170mm / R – 160mm
Max Watts 1300w
Wheelsize: Mullet
Price: From £8,499

Teewing Flux One

One of the longer travel e-MTBs to launch with the Avinox M2S motor is the high-pivot Teewing Flux One. Available in either One A or One Pro builds specs. The Flux One A sports a complete CAT 5 carbon fibre frame with integrated 800Wh battery, alloy linkage and flip chips to adjust the geometry and to switch between 29in and mullet wheels. Available in either cosmic black or blue, the Flux One range ships with the latest Fox suspension with 180mm travel at the front, and up to 178mm at the rear (depending on the flip chip positions).

The high-pivot suspension layout uses an idler to give a rearward axle path, and the kinematic has been designed to make the most of the M2S updated torque and power figures, while remaining supple and supportive.

Of all the bikes released today, it’s the one model we think wouldn’t look out of place on a downhill track!

Teewing Flux One specs

  • Frame material: full carbon
  • Travel: F – 180mm / R – 178mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheel size: Mullet / 29in
  • Price: from €6899

Whyte Karve EVO

One of the three UK-designed Avinox M2S bikes to be released at the time of writing is the Whyte Karve Evo, and at a starting price of just £5,650, this 180mm travel bike is sure to grab the attention of would-be shoppers. While it’s not a surprise to see Whyte release an Avinox M2S bike, its prototype has been spotted numerous times, it’s good to see the full official details.

Starting off with the frame, Whyte has gone for a carbon front triangle with 6061 alloy rear end, with proportional sizing meaning the rear centre increases in length as the front centre does as you size up. The idea behind this is to keep the rider in the centre of the bike, which makes for improved and more balanced handling, something which Whyte is pretty good at.

The frameset produces 180mm of rear wheel travel, which is matched to a 180mm fork, and there are adjustments on the frame to tweak the geometry and also swap between a mullet wheelset or full 29er.

One often overlooked feature is that the Whyte Karve offers a full insertion dropper post, which should provide plenty of standover height. We’re also happy to see the flagship Karve EVO RSX comes fully Ride Wrapped out of the box, too.

Whyte Karve Evo Specs

  • Frame material: Carbon front, alloy rear
  • Travel: F – 180mm / R – 180mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: Mullet or 29in
  • Price: From £5,650

BH iLynx+ DL

BH is a Spanish maker of mountain bikes, and while we don’t see their enduro or trail bikes too often in the UK, it’s likely that you have spotted its XC models doing the rounds. BH is also a huge e-MTB pioneer, and this, the latest version of the Lynx platform, is its first to run an Avinox system.

The iLynx+ DL is an enduro-focused Avinox M2S-powered e-MTB with up to 1300wh and a whopping 170mm of travel. Interestingly, sizes are available from S all the way to XL (small Avinox bikes are few and far between). The suspension layout uses BH’s Split Pivot suspension system, and there will be either full carbon or alloy versions of the bike available.

Again, pricing is very keen with the alloy models hitting shop floors from just €5,399!

BH iLynx+ DL Specs

  • Frame material: Alloy or carbon
  • Travel: 170mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: 29in
  • Price: From €5,399

Amflow PX / Amflow PR

Amflow, the original Avinox brand, has announced two new models today, and it’s also one of the few brands to make use of the very latest Avinox battery systems, plus only one of the models comes with the flagship M2S motor! While we’re all focusing on the top-of-the-range motor, there is actually also an M2 motor which offers slightly lower power and torque figures but still packs a slightly larger punch than the M1.

Available to buy today is the Amflow PX, which runs Avinox’s latest custom 700Wh battery, which unleashes all 1500W from the M2S motor. The updated trail e-MTB has a claimed weight of just 20kg thanks to its carbon frame, and up to 40 geometry adjustment combinations, including adjustments for the head tube angle, BB height and chainstay, giving riders the choice to run full 29er or mullet set-ups.

Also announced today is the Amflow PR, though not yet on sale. The PR will feature a new 800Wh removable battery, and either the M2S in the Pro build or the M2 in the PR carbon. The M2 motor is capable of 125Nm and 1100w peak power. Due to the removable nature of the battery, the PR is slightly heavier at 22kg, but still offers those 40 different geometries and frame customisations.

What’s really interesting here, though, is the pricing. The Amflow PX ranges from £6,499 to £8,999, whereas the PX comes in at a much lower price of £3,999 – £5,399!

Amflow PX Specs

  • Frame material: Carbon
  • Travel: Not mentioned in PR
  • Max Watts: 1500w
  • Wheelsize: mixed or 29in
  • Price: From £6499

Amflow PR Specs

  • Frame material: Carbon
  • Travel: Not mentioned in PR
  • Max Watts: 1500w with M2S / 1100w with M2
  • Wheelsize: mixed or 29in
  • Price: From £3999

Mondraker Zendit

If you had guessed that the Mondraker Zendit features the new Avinox M2S, then give yourself a pat on the back. The flagship carbon Mondraker is said to be the brand’s most refined and advanced frame design yet, using their Stealth Air Carbon construction and finished using a six-axis CNC machine. Sounds fancy!

The Zendit uses Mondraker’s Forward geometry, boasts proportional chain stays, and has adjustments to drop the BB and slacken off the angles, and you can even run the bike in mullet or full 29in. We’ll let you click on over to our original story of the Mondraker Zendit here, but with the M2S motor and an 800Wh battery, the Zendit offers a max peak power of 1300W.

Mondraker Zendit Specs

  • Frame material: Carbon
  • Travel: F – 170mm / R – 165mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: Mullet or 29in
  • Price: From £7399

Megamo Reason

Rather than a completely new bike, Megamo has simply updated its 160mm travel Reason trail bike with the Avinox M2S motor, but on top of this, it

has also added a new size to the range. An XL version of the Reason is now offered so taller riders can swing a leg over one, but before you do, you might want to read up on our review of the M1 version of the same bike.

On top of the motor update, the MY27 range of Reason bikes will get upgraded tyres, meaning they will be reinforced and better suited to EMTB riding, plus new models will come in either SRAM AXS or Shimano drivetrains with MY27 Fox suspension.

Just as we saw with the previous version of the Megamo Reason, the new M2S model will be available with either alloy or carbon frames, with prices ranging from £4,999 to £11,999.

Megamo Reason Specs

  • Frame material: Carbon or Alloy
  • Travel: F: 160mm / R – 160mm
  • Maw Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: 29in
  • Price: From £4,999

Lee Cougan Flo

2026 lee cougan flo
2026 lee cougan flo (Image Credit: Lee Cougan)

Lee Cougan’s entry into the Avinox race is the Flo, a 160mm travel enduro e-bike, which the brand claims to have the lightest frame weight in its category, with the medium weighing in at just 2,500g with hardware. The full carbon frame runs RockShox suspension, has the ability to run either mullet or 29in wheels, and the downtube houses an 800Wh battery, meaning a peak output of 1300W.

Again, we’re seeing size small frame availability, and Lee Cougan states the frame offers deep seat post insertion, although it does appear there’s a kink in the seat tube that may cause issues for riders running longer droppers.

The Flo will be available in two builds: the Carbon Pro with GX AXS, a Zeb Ultimate, and Ursus Oura M carbon wheels, while the Flo Carbon runs SRAM Eagle 90, a Zeb Select and Ursus Pura M alloy wheels.

Lee Cougan Flo Specs

  • Frame material: Carbon
  • Travel: F – 160mm / R – 160mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize. Mullet or 29in
  • Price: From €6,899

Orange Phase Avinox

AVINOX PHASE DETAIL-1
AVINOX PHASE DETAIL-1 (Image Credit: Orange)

First seen as a prototype at Eurobike 2025, the Orange Phase has finally been revealed. The updated Phase uses Orange’s traditional folded alloy construction to produce a single pivot full suspension bike with space in the downtube for an 800Wh battery. The 160mm travel bike runs on a mullet wheelset and is available in three sizes with reach figures ranging from 465mm to 500mm (M-XL).

Orange will offer two complete builds of the Phase, the RS Spec comes built up with RockShox suspension, SRAM Eagle 90 and Hope hubs for £8,250, while the Factory spec receives Fox Factory suspension at £8,750.

Orange Phase Specs

  • Frame material: Alloy
  • Travel: F – 160mm / R – 160mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: mullet
  • Price: £8250

Atherton S170E

Atherton has been teasing this for some time now, and finally, the brand has released full details of its alloy S.170E model. As the name suggests, this is a 170mm travel alloy bike using Atherton’s subtractive manufacturing method, i.e., alloy tubes bonded into CNC-machined lugs at key junctions such as the head tube.

Like Commencal, Atherton has used its design and riding experience and combined it with key features of the new Avinox system, with the aim of building a well-balanced, high-performance bike that handles well. One key feature is the use of the Avinox 700Wh battery rather than 800Wh, which Atherton claims gives plenty of range while keeping the weight and centre of gravity low. As this is the latest generation battery, it also gives the Atherton S170E full access to 1500W peak power.

As you would expect from an Atherton bike, the S-range aluminium chassis has been built and tested to the highest standards, meets an EFBE Category 5 rating and runs a tuned version of the DW4 suspension system supplying 170mm of rear wheel travel. The front end can accept up to a 180mm travel fork.

Because Atherton bikes are made to order, they also have plenty of size options to choose from, 10 to be accurate with reach figures ranging from 405mm to 515mm, with 3 complete build options starting from £6,999.

We’ve taken this bike for a spin, too, so head over to the Atherton S.170E first ride review.

Atherton S170E Spec

  • Frame material: Alloy
  • Travel: F -180mm / R – 170mm
  • Max Watts: 1500w
  • Wheelsize: Mullet
  • Price: From £6999

Velduro Rogue

Rogue_R
Rogue_R (Image Credit: Velduro)

New Zealand brand, Velduro, doesn’t have a new model to launch today, but the high-pivot Rogue gets a welcome upgrade with the Avinox M2S motor system. The Rogue uses an I-Track suspension system, and can be built as either a mullet or a 29-inch bike.

Like the Teewing Flux, the Rogue is also available as a frame-only option, allowing riders to build their perfect bike.

Velduro Rogue Specs

  • Frame material: Carbon
  • Travel: F – up to 180mm / R – up to 172mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: Mullet or 29in
  • Price: From £6750

Pivot Shuttle AMP’d

CLV Inc. dba Pivot Cycles
CLV Inc. dba Pivot Cycles (Image Credit: Pivot)

Like the Mondraker Zendit, the Pivot Shuttle AMP’d is positioned as a flagship Avinox M2S bike and as such each model in the range runs SRAM AXS which also enables the Avinox smooth shift feature. The Shuttle AMP’d gets a carbon frame and DW suspension platform with 150mm rear wheel travel and 160mm up front.

Pivot Shuttle AMP’d Specs

  • Frame material: Carbon
  • Travel: F – 160mm / R – 150mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: mullet
  • Price: From €9499

Forestal e-Siryon V2

Forestal Avinox
Forestal Avinox (Image Credit: Forestal)

Andorran brand Forestal was one of the first innovators of lighter-weight e-MTBs, and at one point even had its own motor and dashboard system built in partnership with Bafang. It looks as though it’s abandoned that platform, though, with the release of Bosch bikes and now an Avinox M2S model.

The Siryon is a full 29er enduro bike utilising the brand’s own Twin Levity suspension platform, which oddly gives the rear wheel 174mm of travel that is twinned to a 170mm fork. The full carbon frame uses Forestal’s signature design combined with the Avinox eco system.

An 800Wh fixed battery lives in the downtube of the Siryon, and as it’s mentioned to be a ‘fixed’ battery, we can assume it’s the same as was used on the original M1 drive unit, meaning 1300W peak power.

Forestal has had a pre-order page up for a while now, with pricing starting from €7,500 for the Siryon V2 Halo and rising to €9,600 for the Diode build.

Forestal e –  Siryon V2 Spec

  • Frame material: Carbon
  • Travel: F – 170mm / R – 174mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: 29in
  • Price: From €7500

Thomas Oberrider

Thomas Oberrider SL 1
Thomas Oberrider SL 1 (Image Credit: Thomas)

Revealed a few months ago on social media, the Oberrider is a handsome-looking high-pivot bike which features adjustable geo and travel, so it is in effect two bikes in one. In its SL build, Thomas is able to build up a lighter bike with just 140mm travel and a claimed weight of just 19.5kg, but with a smaller 600Wh battery.

Using the same frame but a different shock mount, the Oberrider’s suspension can be increased to 170mm and built up as a more burly enduro bike. To add to that versatility, there’s also a 10mm adjustment at the headtube, giving riders the option to run different reach lengths on the same frame.

Speaking of the headtube, riders also have the option to build their bike with either through the headset cable routing or regular through headset cable routing. We know how we would build it.

We don’t have an official press release for this one, but we thought we would mention it as it’s a great-looking bike.

Thomas Oberrider Specs

  • Frame material: Carbon
  • Travel: F – 150/170mm / R – 140/170mm
  • Max Watts: 1300w
  • Wheelsize: Mullet or 29in.
  • Price: TBC

So, is this the biggest launch the MTB world has ever seen? In terms of sheer volume of products, I don’t know a more stacked day for bike launches! But which one of the above Avinox M2S bikes tickles your fancy? Let us know in the comments section below!
