Salsa Cycles announce the launch of the Frontier 300, a coast to coast race that’ll take riders from the west coast of Scotland to the east. Salsa says this is far from your usual coast to coast with a high point of 550m and a section of hike-a-bike. The end goal is ‘brunch on the beach’.

The Frontier 300 is brought by the very same organizers of The Dirty Reiver. The route of this new event will span the Northern borderlands with 300km of wilderness gravel trails, fire roads, and quiet lanes.
Featuring a high point of 550m, the Frontier 300 promises plenty of flowy descents while including a touch of hike-a-bike to keep the gravel riding true. This coast to coast will take riders through 10 different forests and over 20 gravel sectors, all in a 30 hour timeframe, fitting with Salsas adventure by bike mentality.
The event will start at Rockcliff 4:15 am on the 13th June and offer solo and pairs relay (with designated hand over points) categories with the aim of reaching the finish, at Druridge Bay, in time for brunch on the beach. Accommodation will be available locally at the start of the event while camping spots will be provided at the end, with the option to buy food.
