Following in the footsteps of competitor, Fox, RockShox has unveiled the ZEB. Using a similar 38mm stanchion the ZEB is built with stiffness at the forefront of its design. It’s aimed at enduro riders who are looking for that bit extra to get them through the stage as quickly, and comfortably as possible.

RockShox claim the ZEB to be the next evolution of single crown forks. With its 38mm stanchions, it’s built to match the new generation of long travel, hard-hitting bikes.

Against a 180mm Lyrik in its 29″ flavour, the ZEB promises to be 21.5% stiffer torsionally, 7% stiffer under side bending loads and 2% stiffer under for and aft loads.

While understandably being a heavier fork, the ZEB is machined to shave away any excess material to make the fork as light as it can be.

A 29″ fork with 170mm of travel, Maxle Stealth and an uncut steerer weighs in at 2281g.

RockShox has designed the arch with space for the chunkier headtubes that are being found on modern bikes.

There’s also mounts for RockShox own mudguard.

Inside, the fork gets the latest Charger 2.1 damper and DebonAir air spring. Unlike the rest of the RockShox range, the ZEB also gets an additional negative volume for an even more dh-esque feel.

In line with the RockShox range, the new fork also gets Maxima Plush fluid paired with SKF wiper seals.

The ZEB is available in both 650b and 29″ wheel sizes with 160, 170, 180, and 190mm travel options. You also get the choice of 38mm and 44mm offsets.

If a burly enduro fork from RockShox is your thing, be prepared to fork out £969 for the ZEB Ultimate.

The slightly lighter ZEB Select will set you back £779 with two E-MTB models costing £779 and £759.

The integrated fender is priced at £20.
