When it comes to personalising your bike, going for a custom paint job is a pretty special way of achieving that. However, if you happen to do custom paint work for a living, as Alistair from Fatcreations does, then your own bike is always going to be a cut above the rest.

His personal Cannondale Moterra e-bike has a properly stunning camo paint scheme, complete with faux-distressed bare metal detailing, as seen here in some shots by snapper Geoff Waugh.

The attention to detail even extends to ENVE rims with matching camo stickers, a fully painted Fox 36 fork  (even the axle lever is painted) with all the logos finished in a glitter fade too – no stickers or decals here, just a huge amount of time and skill.

The bare metal ‘rubbing through’ effect was achieved by a metallic silver undercoat that was then painted over before being carefully rubbed back to expose it. We daren’t think of how many hours of painstaking painting, masking and prep work that went into this, but safe to say it’s an awful lot.

It’s so nicely done that it almost seems a shame to ride it and risk banging it up, but that’s just us! If you’d like to check out more stunning paint jobs, including the work that he’s done for the like of Steve Peat and many more riding royalty, head to the Fatcreations website or Instagram.
