When most people think of Bombtrack, they picture elegant gravel, all-road, and adventure machines. But a quick scroll through its website reveals that the brand’s lineup also includes urban and mountain bikes – and the all-new Beyond+ Midtail does an impressive job of blending all those identities.

Described as a “tough, adventure-ready mid-tail cargo bike built for bikepacking and heavy hauling,” the Beyond+ Midtail appears to offer the best of many worlds. Its durable steel frameset and abundance of rack and carrier mounts make it ideal for everything from school-run duty to lugging home those spur-of-the-moment middle-aisle bargains.

Keeping things simple and low-maintenance, the primary cargo rack is integrated directly into the frame, so there’s no need to worry about overloading it, and, as you’ll notice, the Midtail is refreshingly unassisted – no motor, no battery, just legs and lungs.

Bombtrack clearly intends the Beyond+ Midtail for riders who want to manage as much of daily life as possible on two wheels. Alongside the stout built-in rack, the frame is peppered with mounts for bags, lights, racks—whatever your cargo or adventure requires. There’s even a built-in kickstand.

But what if you do want to leave the tarmac behind and explore a bridleway or two? The Beyond+ Midtail is ready for that as well. Its spec leans heavily into mountain-bike territory, with a 1×12 drivetrain paired to a hill-friendly 51-tooth cassette, Shimano’s powerful 4-piston Deore brakes, and large 29-inch wheels that smooth out rough trails with ease.

The slender steel frame should deliver a comfortable ride, but Bombtrack goes further with high-volume 2.6in Maxxis Rekon tyres mounted on wide Seido Magnon i35 rims, and if you’re feeling adventurous, the suspension-corrected geometry means you can fit a suspension fork without upsetting the handling.

Bombtrack will offer the Beyond+ Midtail in a single size and in limited production runs, with the first 100 units expected around February/March 2026. Complete bikes will retail for £2,900 (€2,899.99 / $3,299.99), with a frame-only option available at £1,150 (€1,099.99 / $1,279.99) for anyone keen to build something truly unique.
