Another budget bike rolled into the office this week in the form of the Marin Hawk Hill 3. Alongside it are some winter essentials from  Bosch and Dissent 133, some rim protection in the form of Cush Core and brake disc covers from Muc-Off.

Bosch Fontus pressure washer

This mobile cleaner from Bosch looks pretty gucci, it’s powered by a removable battery and has a 15L tank, a pretty long hose and multiple head attachments. It’s not small or light (9.8kg without water) but it looks like it’ll do a good job of cleaning up before bikes are dumped in the boots of our cars this winter.

Marin Hawk Hill 3

Marin’s more affordable full suspension range has seen something of a renaissance in recent years, with the Hawk Hill at the forefront of that. We’ve got our paws on the 2019 Hawk Hill 3 to test and from first impressions, it’s looking good – and not just because we like a subtle fade paint job.  There’s a first look at the bike here and a close up of the sweet paint fade….

Cush Core

We took a look at Nukeproof’s version of rim protection last week, this week its the turn of Cush Core. Cush Core seems to be an industry fave at the moment but we are looking forward to testing a few of these systems back to back to see what works best.

Dissent 133 Layered Cycling glove system

These unique cycling gloves are a complete pack comprising of layers including a base layer, a thermal layer, a windproof layer and a waterproof layer meaning you can vary your options depending on the weather conditions and whether you ‘run’ hot or cold. At £95 for the Ultimate pack they aren’t cheap but they do come with a neat storage box and a glove drying system too.

Muc-Off disc brake covers

If you tend to fling lube all over the place when you’re giving your bike some TLC or are worried about disc brakes getting damaged in transit, Muc-Off has just the thing for you… a neoprene disc brake cover that wraps around the rotors with Velcro to keep ’em safe and sound.
