OPINION

Ch-ch-ch-changes....

A new an interesting challenge is an overused work in life and sport. Its true here though.

Having already reviewed 2013 in my previous blog posting here. it seemed wholly appropriate to keep the theme alive and talk a little about 2014.

There are plenty of changes in the offing in my life full stop, and one in cycling.

As of 31st December 2359, I will be moving clubs.

This is a big deal to me as I have only ever ridder for three clubs in my 21 years in the sport. One of those moves was due to living the other end of the country so you could really say that this is only my second attempt to step away from my comfort zone.

In the grand scheme of things, moving cycling club is not the most significant of events, but as many of you involved in local club life will know, it isn't without risk.

I will keep you posted as to how I get on 1

Good luck with the change. I left my club last summer after 6 years - and 5 of those coaching. It was issues with the committee who have two warring factions of people who were old enough and ugly enough to know better but were/are slowly destroying the club between them.

I've joined a much better organised club with no crazy sponsor and a much nicer kit . Shallow? Nah. Liking what you wear is so important. Funnily enough, I still ride with my old club mates most Sundays and all is fine so I seem to be getting the best of both worlds.
