Video: Sidi launch vanity overshoes
You see some crazy new products at Eurobike, but without doubt, taking the prize if there was one, the most bonkers thing we saw were these ‘vanity overshoes’ from Sidi. VecchioJo talks us through them in this video.
They’re essentially thin Lycra overshoes that will protect your expensive shoes from getting dirty. To ensure everyone knows you’re still wearing expensive Sid’s though, they’re printed to look like a pair of top-end Wire shoes. So if you’ve just splashed out “six months rent” on a pair of Sidi shoes, as VecchioJo says, and want to keep them clean, these overshoes let you keep them covered, while still showing the world you’ve got a pair of flashy Italian shoes.
Or, as VecchioJo points out, you could wear them over your other brand shoes and fool people into thinking you’ve just splashed out on a pair of Sidi shoes. But that would be a bit silly wouldn’t it. Whoever said cyclists were a vain bunch.
They're available in several colours, no UK price has been announced yet, nor indeed availability

Overshoes should be black.
I like when the weather turns cold, and finally i can blank out all the branding with a good pair of black overshoes. Well, except for the "Pro" logo on the overshoes themselves, of course.
And no-one can tell if i'm being tough and wearing my usual shoes, or feeling chilly and wearing the winter AM50s!
