See the new Kinesis TK3 at the Cycle Show

Kinesis to unveil all-new TK3 + Lezyne to show new 1000 lumen Mega Drive light

Kinesis will be officially unveiling their brand new TK3, a major update of their classic winter training bike, at the Cycle Show later this week at the Birmingham NEC.

The TK3 builds on the success of the TK2 winter road bike and draws on current road frame trends with a tapered head tube into which slots a matching painted Tracer carbon fork - a first for the TK.

Kinesis have also released the EVO5, a cyclo-cross frame aimed at racers wanting a light and simple frame that is focused on one job: winning races. And you'll be able to see examples of it at the Cycle Show.

Upgrade Bikes, the people behind Kinesis, also look after Lezyne and will be showing the new range of LED lights. The Mega Drive is their most powerful yet with a huge 1000 lumen output costing £165.

We saw the new range of Reynolds wheels at Eurobike and they'll be showing the new Aero lineup, which brings their cutting edge aero tech to a more affordable price and there's a choice of rim depths to suit different applications.

Other brands in the Upgrade Bikes stable that you'll be able to check out include Cycloc, who will have three new storage solutions displayed at the show for the first time. These will include the Endo, a wall-mounted hook system that folds flat when not in used, and the Loop, a clever wall hook and storage bin for your helmet.

Praxis Works is a new brand for Upgrade Bikes. They offer aftermarket chainrings that are cold forged and use what they call 'Lever-Time', consisting of ramps and pins to improved shifting. We'll be very interested to take a look at these, especially as they offer a cyclo-cross option and it's that time of year now.

For information on other products that’ll be at the Cycle Show check out our story from yesterday.

maybe the small frame size of that blue tk3 is to blame, but the tubes look enormous, esp the downtube. looks like a child's bike!
