Video: More Peter Sagan hijinks – this time on a Tacx treadmill

It tilts so that you can simulate riding uphill

The Magnum Smart is the first smart trainer you can both ride and run on. Peter Sagan went for riding on it. (This wasn’t guaranteed given that his last video outing for a sponsor saw him choose to promote the bike by doing doughnuts in a muscle car.)

Tacx say that you don’t have to worry about your speed on the Magnum Smart as the belt will instantly adjust to every minor change. They say this provides a very natural and realistic experience.

The top speed is 30km/h, which might not sound enough, but fortunately there’s a tilt option which will offer a maximum incline of 15%. Riding at an angle gives you the advantage of training the right muscles and movements for real world climbing.

For more details, see the website.

Alex has written for more cricket publications than the rest of the road.cc team combined. Despite the apparent evidence of this picture, he doesn't especially like cake.

Only £7,000 each?

Really?!?

OK, I'll take three of them. Or should I wait for the Rapha-branded version for £10,999.99?

Daleks didn't have a problem with stairs: they just  hovered/flew.

(I'll get my coat...)
