Video: World champion Peter Sagan demonstrates bunny-hopping skills

Tinkoff-Saxo rider filmed by team mate performing trick while waiting at traffic lights

It seems being world road champion won’t stop Peter Sagan from getting up to his old tricks, with his Tinkoff-Saxo team posting a video today to Facebook showing him bunny-hopping on his bike – while wearing the rainbow jersey he will debut tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi Tour.

The Slovakian cyclist, aged 25, is set to ride the inaugural edition of the race and was filmed performing the trick while out training today by quick-thinking team mate Manuel Boaro, as Tinkoff-Saxo explained in their post.

What does Peter Sagan do while waiting at the traffic lights in Abu Dhabi? He bunny hops! Thanks to our rider Manuele...

Here's a round-up of nine of the best Peter Sagan videos from before his rainbow jersey-winning ride in Richmond, Virginia, last month.

Bollocks to Velominati. I agree with their rules on caps and leg warmers on their own but I would refer them to
Rule#210. 'Unless you've won the jersey yourself you don't get to criticise the winner's shorts.'

As for all this 'Peter Sagan: love him or hate him..' schtick? You'd have to be a pretty miserable, bitter old cynic not to respect Sagan. Oh. Hang on. I forgot what site this was. Nevermind. I'm sure the multi millionaire world champion living the dream isn't losing any sleep over the distain of a few Road.CC sages. 4

I'd wear white shorts if I had staff to wash them after each ride.

If I was young/fit and world champion...I'd wear white shorts.

When it's such a breath of fresh air like Peter Sagan, The Rules need not apply ... white bibshorts on me ? Certainly NOT going to happen any time soon.

Hope he wasn't in one of the Royal Parks when he was doing that.

Ok, I've been reading a lot about the white bibs and I have no idea what the fuss is about. Am I missing something? Why are they a big no-no?

Like him or loathe him, he's a character alright, which is nice to have in a sport.

Yes, but that's not a bunny hop.

It's a backhop, pretty hot trick back in 1982
