Assos S7 Neopro. Or at least I hope they will be the best cycling shorts. I pick a pair up this afernoon. My second best shorts would be La Passione, but they were out of stock by the time I got around to ordering.

Assos F1 Uno. Amazing quality. Unbelievable comfort. Back of the net......

Rapha Pro Bib. Just don't try and walk about in them.

I´ve never been regretting buying a pair of Rapha Pro Team Bib shorts, ride and ride and they last a long time. Apart from that they are goodlooking

Assos S7 Tiburu or S5 Mille, best fitting and best pads I have tried (I have Sportful and Castelli as well). You pay for what you get and if you damage them Assos offer crash repair, like Rapha, so you don't need to buy new after a bit of road rash!

I agree with Greatsouthcoastride regarding the Rapha Pro Team bibs. They are the most comfortable for me as well, but I also like my Assos S7 equipe bibs. I just find the Rapha bibs a little better for longer rides.

DHB Aeron Pro. 6 hour rides starting in pouring rain and ending in blazing sun still comfy with no chafing. Did I mention they are half the price of equivalent big brands

Castelli with progetti x2 soooooo comfy and look great. Quite a tight fit though go up a size....

If you haven't worn a pair of Poc essential bib shorts you're missing out. Rapha? My lightweights fell apart after 500 miles, my pro teams crush my nuts and are also tatty after 2000 ish miles. Dolceni? dreadful dimensions and fit. Castelli? Comfortable but again fell apart. GSG? Awful, DHB? Absolutely awful. Bioracer? Nice but can't get on with their grippers. Vermarc? Nice but the chamois 'folds' and the stitching is weird. Morvelo? Excellent in every department, except they're just not as good as the Pocs.

I can't eulogise enough, they're the holy grail. Nothing comes close.

Hincapie has some great products.
Their $250.00 USD bibs, look good, feel great and hold up for years.
One of the teams I race with the last 13 years gets our team Uni's from Hincapie. I love my different color team unies from each year.

The bib shorts from the Zipvut website are cheap at about £30. They do have white on the thighs but are very comfortable - I have two pairs that are fine for everything.

Also, DHB Vaeon (I think) for a similar price are great. All of these bib shorts were perfect for LEJOG last year and are hard wearing.

I'll be really interested in the results of this survey! I tend to buy based on reviews. While I'm still searching for that holy grail of a perfect saddle / bib short combo to suit my 18st, 6' 4" frame; my current favourites are the Assos T.Fi Mille S5. They're run pretty close by the Sportful Super Total Comfort, though.

Craft Elite. Subtle, not often seen, long-lasting and a great pad.

Vermarc tinto, cheap and cheerful

The problem with this kind of survey is that it will indicate which bibs are popular rather than which are the best, and everyone will tell you that the bibs they are using are the best.

I've had bibshorts from Adidas, Alexa, Castelli, Campitello, Vermarc, Santini, Nalini, Mavic, Giordana, Scott, Impsport, Gibbsport, and a number of others whose names escape me.

If you ride for a club you wear the club shorts, if you ride for a team you ride the team shorts and those rides and therefore shorts are the best.

I use the RedWhite Bibs and KOM bibs which match my KOM jersey perfectly, both are fantastically comfortable on longer rides due to the thicker chamois which is really comfortable and which also irons out a lot of the road buzz and vibrations - superb bibs

I recently got a set of 'The Bibs' from Red White. They're far better than everything else I have. A great pad that is perfect for a long ride and really comfortable grippers. Can't recommend them enough!

I haven't a vast experience of shorts, but these are much better than the other ones I've got (Altura ProGel and Endura Luminite Tights). The pad is really good, very comfortable over last year's RideLondon, the wide elastic round the legs also works well for me, and the fabric is really nice too.
