Had Martin but took him out last night as read a report that they were hoping he was going to be able to start which didn't sound good

A race of attrition... 100 riders of the 200 started didn't finish the race...

The 'Best' and the 'Worst' of teams:

Both Astana and AG2R La Mondiale had 7 riders finish 36

Preben Van Hecke (Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise), 72nd, and Rasmus Guldhammer (Cult Energy Pro Cycling), 88th, were the only ones in their respective teams, to finish the race. 2

He crashed. Caught back on but had to expend a lot of effort.

Waited until the last minute to get a classics race right, been a poor performance this year but 1,2,3,4 here is much better and Alaphillipe at 66/1 e/w and Ewan at 22/1 in Turkey e/w makes for a very good day for me. such a shame that one of them didn't make it all the way but Valverde has been outstanding this year.
