Bicycle manufacturer Giant has opened its fourth UK store, in Twickenham, South-West London. The new outlet, on Heath Road, joins existing shops in the Taiwan-based bicycle manufacturer’s UK portfolio in Liverpool, Cambridge and Bristol.
The Giant Store - Twickenham is operated by existing independent bicycle dealer Bruce Berkley, serving cyclists in West London and beyond, and is handily located for local cycling hotspot Richmond Park, as well as the Thames Path, with Wimbledon Common, Bushy Park and Hampton Court all also within easy riding distance.
The store targets cyclists of all abilities, from those taking up riding a bike for the first time through to experienced competitors.
Ian Beasant, Giant UK Managing Director, said: “We are pleased to be opening the doors to our fourth brand store; we really hope that this store provides a service to the local community helping get more people out of cars and onto bikes.”
He continued: “we have more stores planned, we are always looking for opportunities to bring cycling to congested towns and cities”
Store Manager Bruce Berkley added: “We are really excited about the new store; we think the area is ready for a new cycling experience and with Giant we genuinely believe we have something for all.”
The Giant Store - Twickenham is located at 111 Heath Road, Twickenham, TW1 4AF
and is open from 10am to 7pm from Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 6pm on Saturdays and from noon to 5pm on Sundays. The store is closed on Mondays.
Giant says that it plans to open further stores in key locations, and is already holding discussions regarding forthcoming openings with potential partners. Full details of existing Giant stores are available through a dedicated website at www.giant-stores.co.uk.
