4,5,6 + mountain points for Arredondo and a few more classification points. Probably my worst day so far. As to tomorrow... who knows? Will swap out Tjallangi, but might save a transfer for the odd selection of stages in week 2

Shame 4

No changes for me tmw, saving up as loads needed next week.

10 should be straightforward sprint, but 11's tough to call. Breakaway win for a Paolini/Hansen type? Will almost certainly end up using a pen or two, probably around the ITT.

3,4,5,6,7,9.

Cant help but think about the fact I took a penalty to axe Ulissi. Well it wasn't so much that, I was 0.2 credits away from being able to keep him, if only I hadn't had Chicchi and I had a 3 point rider, so had no choice bu to axe him

If only points were scored for barrier jumping!

It got better for me in the last km with Arredondo getting passed and Keldo coming in 3rd. My focus on youth should help too with Majka, Keldo, Aru and Quintana.

At one stage I was willing Arredondo to get a puncture and he is one of my favourite riders.

Ulissi wins. Who kept him in?

Quintana
Evans
Uran
Pozzovivo

4567

Aru 9

Plus Arredondo. Pity he couldn't hang out till the end. Cataldo my only fail but not entirely surprised about that!

Assuming Matthews makes the time cut he could be in line for Lanterne Rouge

My team for today, edged my bets on GC/break

Quintana
Evans
Pozzovivo
Arredondo
Rubiano
Uran
Duarte
Tjallingii
Colli

Took a few pens in putting that together though.

Steven Kruijswijk is on the back of the peloton. He was one of the many riders to come down on stage 6, suffering a small fracture in his shoulder.

That would suit me fine if that result came in!

I'm putting my probably misguided faith in youth.

Quite frankly I'd love and Aru/Kelderman 1-2 today. Ain't gonna happen but I can live in hope.

We have to be positive about Arredondo...hopefully he won't win the first 2 mountains today, there are far fewer points over the next few days too, and he's unlikely to be going for the stage win.

On the other hand, a cat 1, a cat 2 and a stage win would be a disaster!
