Yeah, and no Grifter or Brompton either. This video was a waste of everyone's time, because it didn't cover every bike, ever.
Every bike, ever? Now if you could create this to include recubents, Grifters, Bromptons, my Chopper, BMX and 29er I would be very impressed.
Till then I think this is quite a good little graphics exercise, I don't think it's designed to be a true historic piece of every bike, ever.
Don't think there was any claim of 'every bike ever' in the video clip. The diamond frame (the final bicycle in the clip) has remained largely unchanged since the 1880's and continues to be the standard frame used by cyclists.
Whats the design after the Penny farthing? @43 seconds.
This was originally a reply to bigbluebike and so is now slightly out of sequence following an update edit.
My first thought is that it is a Starley Royal Salvo which was a mid-1920's tricycle but I think the seating position is too high. The seat being above the rear wheel would imply a single rear.
Still think it's a trike though. Two wheels at the front? Maybe. Might be from a patent drawing rather than an actual bike.
After further research it appears to be a Pony Star High Wheel Bicycle dating from about 1886. Makes the video a little odd as this would slightly predate the Ordinary (Penny Farthing) Bicycle of the 1890's so the video is in the wrong order.
I really must get out more!
