What you need is a Carradice
What you need is a Carradice Camper Longflap or Odyssey XL onto the SQR seatpost quick release- with the large bands which fit round the oversized seat pillar. Works on an old style Birdy and the Halfords Intercity folder

Yes! Invoke the Dunkirk spirit against the relentless waves of entitled lycra-clad Terror-Radfahrer, pouring down the virtually unused monumentally expensive cycle lanes which cause traffic jams and pollution while they collide with countless wheelchairs, and restore the traditional British right to drive on empty roads to park facing the sea and scoff

Capitalism drives exploitation
I agree that what he writes is tripe- it’s essentially the basis of ‘everything will be all right if we buy a Tesla and we can all drive around everywhere at 100mph’, because all the targets are repeatedly moved so they’re more than 5 years away and therefore don’t exist

IIRC they claimed to be a Dutch bike shop owner when using this one before!
I spotted him as a PBU when he first began this foolish imitation- educated Dutch English speakers are generally as ‘grammatical’ as we are- and I claim my £5

I never wrote any statistics, you did. Why do you love electronic bikes so much? Does your wife have one or something?
That ought to confirm to Rendel who this inept retread is!

It’s chicken and egg – do aggressive drivers choose certain cars?
Yes. Nothwithstanding the usual comment that ‘it’s just confirmation bias’, there is no doubt that a bearded bloke (or worse still, a bearded bloke with tattoos) in an Audi or BMW is guilty and a psychopath. There aren’t enough Porsches or Subarus around here to form a reliable opinion, but Audis and BMW drivers are also more likely to be guilty of MOT, insurance and VED offences- hence T55 UEY today. No MOT for 8 months, reported in July, condoned by Lancashire Constabulary because they do tug their forelocks at drivers of big, expensive cars

Except it doesn’t, as we all know on here

Yes, they’re a whirlwind of activity when such anti-socials are concerned- but strangely forgiving where it’s hard-working motorists. This is the failed MOT of PJ07 NFP, which has regularly been seen, filmed and reported driving around Garstang without insurance, MOT or VED for over 3 years. Entertainingly, the vehicle has now disappeared from the DVLA website- my last encounter in August showed that there’s been no VED since 31.1.20. People are sick of seeing shots of WU59 UMH, the local champion of freedom, at over 6 years fighting the War on Motorists by failing an MOT on 23.9.23 for dangerous defects but continuing to drive- with the support of Lancashire Constabulary

Wrexham magistrate quits
Wrexham magistrate quits rather than enforce 20mph law
Good news- it is to be hoped that many police officers will also do the decent thing and accept the consequences of their refusal to enforce pretty much any traffic law ever

One for wtjs (admittedly not in Lancashire, though):
Thanks for the thought, but it’s rather like administering a hologram of a glass of water to a man dying of thirst in the desert. No prosecution for such an offence, or almost any other road traffic offence is possible in Lancashire under the present hopelessly ineffectual and/or bent regime with its proud boast: we never do anything about anything

https://upride.cc/incident/ds6972_porsche_redlightpass/
https://upride.cc/incident/fd67nej_bmw420_redlightcross/
Almost all road traffic offences have been abolished here, so that absent MOT, insurance and VED is rampant- every day there are a few new offenders demonstrated during a couple of trips along the same 2 miles of road- as well as all the old offenders the police refuse to do anything about
