Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

Turns out the tyre extinguishers were just trying to help prevent this by stopping the cars floating about.

Do AMD do civil claims and

Do AMD do civil claims and could they offer the driver no-win, no fee?  Obviously they won’t be able to act in their own matter but it sounds like the driver’s had a busy day of window-shopping elsewhere.

    How about another Whiteladies

How about another Whiteladies Road incident in Bristol?

(That dog wants to pee on the car to claim it)

A man has been arrested after a car crashed into a number of shopfronts on Whiteladies Road today (May 30). One witness said a car had driven into several shops along the road, taking out the stall outside of Better Food Co.

He also claimed that others in the area had tried to get the driver out of his car when he hit the A-Plan Insurance shop front but the man drove off once more. He also said that, shortly after, the driver crashed into the front of AMD Solicitors.

That Wilf Johnson in the comments seems like some of the tosser trolls on here. Got very defensive when blaming *insert german manufacturer* here.

    As there is a cyclist

As there is a cyclist pictured right at the end, how many people in the comments blamed him?

Also, who was the arsehole who “aided and abetted” the driver by pushing the car off the other one?

Old driver so possibly confusion / reaction time.  Of course normally cycling is the main risk to pedestrians…

Chris Evans, mitigating, said Lee was a relatively new driver who had got her full licence just three months before the incident. He added that her friend’s car was an automatic, which she had not driven before and was not experienced with.

“It’s shocking footage when you view it not least to Ms Lee herself. It’s fortunate that the injuries were not more serious,” he said. “Clearly not being used to driving this vehicle had an impact in what can be described as a gross misjudgement in driving.”

I’m pretty sure the only difference between an automatic and a manual is gears, they both still have an accelerator and a brake.

However the judge said Lee had been visibly “devastated” when she realised Mr Borek had been injured and said he was minded to take account of her personal circumstances, which included caring for her elderly parents and her own ongoing health issues.

Ms Lee was given an eight-month jail sentence suspended for 18 months and 120 hours of unpaid work. She was also disqualified from driving for two and a half years from the date of her interim disqualification on April 22 this year. She must also pay a £420 in prosecution costs and a £156 surcharge.

    So not much then.

The … clip shows the supercar suddenly appear before propelling directly into a white vehicle parked up on the street.

And it showed no sign of slowing down after the initial impact, but instead created a domino effect of destruction.

The car, worth half a million pounds, then careered into two other vehicles – causing quite a costly amount of damage.

The dazed driver can be seen crawling out of the shiny red hypercar after the high speed smash, before cops and fire crews rushed to the scene at 7.40pm.

Final passing mention of a driver getting out.  All agency appears to be ascribed to the car itself…

Clearly it wasn’t the drivers fault.. The Sun was in his eyes 🙂
