I’m a big fan of Pearl Izumi

I’m a big fan of Pearl Izumi for winter gloves.  I have four pairs for everything between proper minus up to the early teens, all different levels of insulation.

But gloves are a weird thing and very personal, and they have changes the designs since I last got a new pair.  I don’t think there is a perfect pair that will do all things.  You might have to buy a few to get the ones that work best for different conditions.

I have given up on the full waterproof and accepted the wet hands so I got some neoprene ones and they work.

    Most of the existing stuff

Most of the existing stuff will be some gummi mess, snotsicle.  Scrape it out and I give it a god wash and brush.  Remount and fill again.

You might notice the many sharp things going into the inside of the tyre, I did, and that was regularly checking for thorns and stuff.  Each one found with a wry smile…

On my massive Plus tyres I took to topping up with an extra oz of Orange Endurance every month, with the cleaning whenever I change the tryes for changeing conditions.  Though if there was liquid sealent left I’d suck it up with a big syringe and reuse, don’t know if it was a wise move, but that stuff is pricey.

For me tubeless has been a fun learning expreience, the only thing I find a nightmare is getting the first bead off, and the mechanic at my LBS (whose view I highly respect) advises agains the Cush Core Bead Dropper.  It looked great.

It tends to happen less at the moment, the driver rarely wants the cold and wet getting in through the open window and spoiling their sealed environment.

Selle Italia do the early 90s flite Ti, 1990 so a tad late, but still of the era.

It is still a VERY comfy saddle.

They have added a carbon nose, but the shape is exactly the same.

I have seen it in tan.
