Sorry, this is a long cut and
Sorry, this is a long cut and paste about SorensenSorensen still plans to race…
We saw Chris Anker Sorensen really having a good go in the Pyrenees. He was 24th in stage 17 and second in stage 16 but he rode most of yesterday’s stage with blood dripping from a wound on his left hand. We asked Saxo Bank’s Nick Gates what happened yesterday… did he put his hand in his spokes?“Yeah,” said the directeur sportif, “a newspaper had been thrown out for a rider to put down his jersey for a descent and it went into Chris’ wheel. He tried to rip it out and he got his fingers stuck in the spokes. He’s not in a good way. He had micro-surgery on two fingers last night at the hospital and they’re now patching him up again to see if they can get the green light so he can race. He’s still in a lot of pain but he’s going to have a crack and see if he can race.”
More on Sorensen’s injuries…
LeTour.fr asked Nick Gates about the treatment of Sorensen’s wound: what did they have to do? Were there fingertips missing or what exactly is the wound?“Basically his small finger was ground down to the bone all the way up the side. They stuck a splint on there and that’ll get him through until the end of the Tour and on Monday or Tuesday he’ll have to go to a hospital and get it really fixed up. He’s a tough guy! The way he got through the stage.
“The accident happened on a really fast part of the race and they couldn’t dress the wound properly. There was no option. He had to defend his position on GC and he did that really well. He’s held 14th overall so he’s at least happy with that.”

Froome has held back/been
Froome has held back/been told to hold back on at least 3 stages now, Where if he wasn’t under team orders, He could have gone off the front and put minutes into Wiggo each time and has a health advantage to cover anything Wiggo can pull out in the TT.As for Froome liking to jump of the front on climbs and Wiggo riding at his tempo…….BALLS. Just Froome likes to jump around, thats because he has the strength and power to do that, Wiggo simply doesn’t and have to set a pace and stick to it up a long climb, because he cannot up his power output while climbing.
Clearly Froome is the strongest rider in this years tour, he’s just not going to win because its been Sky’s/Brads and British media’s goal from the outset that Wiggo wins because he’s more of a well known figure outside of cycling than Froome X(

When you go to make
When you go to make transfers, you can take in ANY rider thats in the database, does not have to be in the race and you will still score for your riders who are in the race.I don’t know which team you are talking about, but for example.
If I wanted Wiggo, Froome, Sagan and TJG, I would need to take in DS that are not in the tour with a value of 2.3, the cheapest DS on the tour is 2.7

Pretty much like
Pretty much like Colombia-Coldeportes then?I’m sure they are a government supported team.
But Team Sky aren’t government funded though, they just put money into British cycling alongside the governments and lotto funding don’t they? 😕

Time to get back into your
Time to get back into your barrel then and mature a few years 😉Gkam84
Hardly climbs, From what I
Hardly climbs, From what I know, If everything goes right, Sky will be leading out Cav for the win tomorrow and in ParisGkam84
Stumps
I’m still
👿 Stumps 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀I’m still doped up to the eye balls, so didn’t even notice it. :&

ALSO, that still doesn’t
ALSO, that still doesn’t answer my question’sIs there an overall TdF Purist prize? and is it premium only? 👿
I’ve been trying to find out for 13 days now 😉

Well it is unfair don’t you
Well it is unfair don’t you think?Say for example, I was doing my transfers everyday and by the TT I was clear in first and I knew only premium players could win that BMC…..Oh hello, I’ll pay my tenner because I’m guaranteed to win that bike worth £1700, If i’m not near the top, then I wouldn’t pay…..
So get your money in the pot before the tour or first rest day and hope you play well, not play well then cash in because you’ve been lucky

I only asked a couple of
I only asked a couple of weeks ago because I was near the top, I had no idea i’d stay there most of the tour. So I didn’t start this post for myself to win something. I just wondered where all the players stood. As long as you are having fun, thats good. swat up on your knowledge and give your all for the rest of the season, You might be able to hit a stage prize somewhere like the Vuelta, Then sort out a wee bit of money to do the whole of next season as a premium and have all the extra tours and races 😀
Gkam84
Even if you pay your money
Even if you pay your money now, You will not win anything if it turns out to be premium only, you had to be paid up before the tour started 😉Gkam84
But there hasn’t even been a
But there hasn’t even been a prize announced, there may for all we know, be NO prize. So you can say its a premium only prize when its announced, which its still to be 😉BTW, i lost my top premium purist today and will be lucky to keep a top 3 unless LL Sanchez has a go tomorrow and lives up to his Spanish champions skinsuit in the TT :”(

I wonder. Nah even if I wasn’t near the top I’d still say the same. I had the choice to go for transfers or purist, because I knew I was going to be away most of the tour, I picked purist. I’m doing not bad, but even if I was doing really bad. I’d still like to see the top prizes go to premium users. Like in the transfers part.
The stage prizes are open to EVERYONE, so that is a “normal” users chance to win or enter a schwag 😉

I hope so, but not sure as it
I hope so, but not sure as it has never been answered. With quite alot of people having a second team doing Purist, I think its only fair as with the TdF overall prizes, that Purist should be premium aswellGkam84
This is what you call Sky
This is what you call Sky domination, Although Froome is clearly stronger again, LET HIM GO FOR THE STAGE WIN X( -
