BMX, I would like one, but no-where around here as in parks and stuff. Cant just ride it around on the roads
I have two cross bikes. I just class them as winter road bikes 😉

Simon E wrote:There are no duff bikes these days, we are truly spoilt for choice. I’d take reviews with a pinch of salt. As regards brands, it doesn’t matter what I think, what he/she thinks and what Fred from Outer Mongolia thinks. Here’s what to do:1. Visit some shops, have a look at a variety of makes & models.
2. Buy the one that fits you, and that you like best (ideally from a shop that also provides good customer service).
3. Ride your new bike with a big smile on your face, then log on and tell us about it – more than once if you’re so inclined ;-)
I do agree with that, Get out there and try them, Don’t just buy from behind a computer screen.
BUT, What does Fred from Outer Mongolia actually think about this one?
I took his advice once and traded a bike for a Yak……Didn’t help my training. But I sold it to Contador a couple of years ago 👿 👿

I know who she is and about
I know who she is and about her. But going from one type of racing to another. You normally get a lower Cat. So thats why I was asking if she was Cat 3 at the time. The commentator must have done a little research 👿 i.e looked at the start list, lol

Ok noted. I was going to ask
Ok noted. I was going to ask how big the field was. But it was only 25 riders. No real excuses. Wikipedia some noted the night before….Thats what I would have done.
After looking for the results, Good to see Sarah Storey finishing 5th 😀

For once, I agree in part
For once, I agree in part with Raleigh. Go for top end aluminium over cheap carbon, Something with carbon forks. I don’t like carbon stays though.I have 9 upright bikes. None of which are all carbon, I believe the value is in the top alu with carbon forks.
Just because the pro’s use full carbon, does it mean its makes a normal cyclist ride like them? Its the same as going out and buying pro kit……

Is Nikki Harris not a Cat 3
Is Nikki Harris not a Cat 3 rider? You get that in mixed men’s races aswell. So whats the problem with that kinda of commentary? 😕
I like the article though.

I thought I might aswell
I thought I might aswell comment. There are some awful idea’s in this thread. I will not name names. But if some of those idea’s were to be implemented, Its going to drive those of us who enjoy the game away.Making it super easy. Anyone without a knowledge of cycling and having never watched a race could win.
I’m not going to contribute any of my own idea’s as I feel NO need for changing much and anything that needs tweaked. I feel will be done. 😉
What is being suggested here is almost a totally new game and format……go create it somewhere else 👿

Having 10 CREDIBLE witnesses
Having 10 CREDIBLE witnesses to a murder would indeed constitute a pretty closed case. Yes I agree.Having 10 witnesses to a murder, but a number of them also implicated, but turned witness for a lesser charge or immunity makes the case VERY open.
Here’s how I think its going to go down. USADA is going to release the information the same day they give it to the UCI. It will then show all the witnesses??
Here are a few who have given evidence, talked about or implicated him in the past
Betsy and Frankie Andreu (He admitted using EPO)
Sheryl Crow (former junkie)
Kristin Armstrong (helped cyclist use according to Landis)
Floyd Landis (never shuts up about Lance and others doping)
George Hincapie (always been on Lance’s side)
Levi Leipheimer (doped in the past)
Tyler Hamilton (doper)
Roberto Heras (doper)
Chann McRae (always been on Lance’s side)
David ZabriskieAnd here is the one I’m waiting to see on the list
Alberto Contador – If he is….He’s cut a deal and thats how he got his ban back dated and returned so early :B
At the end of the day, there never needs to be a positive test if enough people come forward and say someone was doping
But one thing was clear: they were the crux of the antidoping agency’s evidence against Armstrong. And in the doping world, that is known as a nonanalytical positive — an athlete implicated not by a positive drug test but by supporting evidence.Look at this graph aswell, Then look at who sits in all the blank spaces, Just a though, but if all those faces were doping, how did the “non dopers” keep up there towards the top??
I’m only talking till about 2006ish…..SO FAR this year no-one has been caught…..cleaner sport or better doping??
Greg LeMond once said
”If Armstrong’s clean, it’s the greatest comeback. And if he’s not, then it’s the greatest fraud.”Never a truer word spoken and we’ll see in the near future which it is, I think its going to leave more questions than answers though.

The only reason I said it was
The only reason I said it was a poor day. After 2 and a bit weeks. My purist team which I picked before the race is outscoring my transfer team which I am changing out every day 👿I still have a list of 3 teams. My purist team, The team I started transfers with and the “if I had another account” team. At the end of the Vuelta, I’ll be working out where I went wrong :B
Gkam84
I’m going to call this a POOR
I’m going to call this a POOR day for me.I scored 153 with only one rider not scoring. Which on any other day would be alright.
Then I looked at my purist team. 156 with only 4 riders scoring 👿

There is nothing to win for a stage victory in the Vuelta. So a draw is a draw 👿Gkam84
I might set it to record. But
I might set it to record. But I don’t know ANYONE who is still watching this show as its BAD….BAD….BADNormal ITV crap

I am roughly the same height
I am roughly the same height and inside leg as you. But never had a Bianchi, simply because I don’t like them. But I have a stable of others from 54 to 58 and I am most comfy on my 55/56’s
BUT everyone is totally different. Hence why I will agree with the LBS. Get fitted and measured.
