Curious to hear a CF/alu
Curious to hear a CF/alu owner saying this: 531 has its moods, mostly positive but there are times when it just doesn’t want to go. My Spa Audax Ti only wants to do steady, Audax style riding. I’m faster on 25s (23s in younger days) than I am on my winter 28s.

Arndale Centre car exit
Arndale Centre car exit queues chalk up another victim. What a crap situation to find yourself in, yet from the photos, their enthusiasm for cars is undimmed.
Family left furious after missing Lightopia trip thanks to four HOUR Arndale queues
The family say they were left ‘stuck in limbo’ after not hearing back from the event
Rebekah said the ordeal upset their children, 12-year-old Annalise and seven-year-old Zara, and ruined what was supposed to be a treat in the build up to Christmas.
“Our seven-year-old daughter was crying and in tears,” Rebekah, 49, explained. “She was pretty scared about being stuck in the car park. There was traffic everywhere, people were shouting and honking their horns. It was horrendous.”

It’s funny how the 1970s
It’s funny how the 1970s plastic ‘tech’ has survived so long, with the embossed numbering for the imprinter to do its thing from and the signature strip. The manual method was an occasional stand-by for when the dreaded cry “tills are down” goes up.

From angry notes to appalling
From angry notes to appalling attacks – the parking rows which exploded on Greater Manchester’s streets
But Ellie said she and sister Jordana are perfectly within their rights to park there. “There are no yellow lines,” she said. “We work in the area and this is what we pay road tax for.

There’s one thing locals say spoils the area

Yes, it’s often guess the app – why can’t there be just one?
I wonder how much over payment there is /was with cash machines – like £1 goes in for an 80p fee. I stopped carrying coins around 3 years ago.
Cash is required for a passenger ferry I occasionally use, spur of the moment donations like to the village brass band today and our fish & chip shop only takes cash.

Triggered. I’m not a pensioner, but I am old enough to remember when cheques were a thing in shops (and when shops were a thing). I remember debit cards becoming a thing (credit cards already were, but M&S and John Lewis didn’t accept them for a long time.)
It must be a blast in the quaint shops of Cirencester. My blood pressure is better these days:
“that’s £74.99” Rummage for cheque book, rummage for pen, items moved to create writing space, “how much again?” “£74.99” “what’s the date today? / Do you have stamp/who’s it to?” “Bloggs ltd”. Rummage for cheque card, assistant hand-writes the number on the back. In Halfords, the till had a slot on it which imprinted more info on the back. “can I change it if it’s not right?”

Cotswold pensioners despair
Cotswold pensioners despair at parking payment ‘technology’
“Us pensioners get confused, and I only wanted to stop for half an hour and it would be difficult to find such a small amount paid on your bank statements.
“Another lady was wandering around for over ten minutes trying to find a way to pay as well. We are jeopardised as pensioners as we have no clue.”
no sale for me. You claim to be totally flummoxed by a debit card parking machine, yet you are safe to drive?

A five year gap 2015 to 2011
A five year gap 2015 to 2011 in the MoT history and pretty modest mileage 2021 to 2022. I bet all it’s got are a few minor scratches to its Barbie paintwork, bit of T-cut.
