Manchester: the largest of the Arndale Centres Wiki so helpfully states, and I think I counted only 3 others that have kept the original name.

Government called upon to intervene over controversial seafront changes
A highways consultant has highlighted a series of safety concerns regarding the changes to Clevedon seafront
… concerns that pedestrians will face walking into the path of cyclists when using the crossings across the lane and that people getting out of cars using the ‘narrow pedestrian strips’ could also come into conflict with riders.

Pretty sure that planter shouldn’t be there and it look like the red Biffa bin, after the low wall, may have borne the brunt. But it’s quite a distance this driver has covered from the road.

Never Mind the Bollards: USA
How many times a day do cars crash into buildings?“In any case, the fact that Reiter’s homespun approach has delivered the nation’s pre-eminent statistic on cars hitting buildings is a symbol of how the externalities of a car-dependent society go unseen and unstudied.
“We’re losing hundreds of people a year in what everything thinks of as a series of one-off unfortunate events,” Reiter said, “and the reality is, it’s organized mayhem”
For the past eight years, Reiter has spent 12 hours a week logging entries into his crash database. Articles and TV clips. Academic research. Fire and police reports. Litigation. Twelve Google Alerts, seven alerts on other online services, a couple dozen sleuths who send him a note every time someone’s driven their car into the supermarket again.

It does seem a bit strange,
It does seem a bit strange, after all here is a government that is inclined to monetise everything and anything, and doesn’t seem too worried about setting up a cost of living crisis (and a host of other crises) but then doesn’t hand a commission contract to – I dunno – Serco or Capita to go after the 100,000s of VED miscreants. A lack of inclination, I’ll agree, but that is different to a teenagery can’t be bothered.
