Crashes on Whitstable Road
Crashes on Whitstable Road and Colewood Road between Whitstable and Herne Bay spark calls on Kent County Council to take action
His neighbour Mandy Taylor’s husband narrowly avoided injury as he walked on the path just seconds before the most recent garden wall smash.
She said: “I don’t feel safe walking my three grandchildren along the road.
“We’ve both been affected by speeding drivers – it drives our insurance premiums up massively and is a massive hazard.

I’m grateful to Brian for his
I’m grateful to Brian for his comments on traffic to give me at least some legitimacy for including this story (sorry, not sorry). Rebecca hasn’t even got a hot tub. “We were told” = “I heard what I wanted to hear”.
Residents object to primary school plans over hot tub privacy fears
Would you want your hot tub overlooked by a school (WELL, WOULD YOU?)
Rebecca Peace claims that the design differs from what she was told when purchasing her property. She commented: “I was told when I came to view (as were other neighbours too) that the school would be in the left corner, NOT overlooking our ‘private’ gardens We were also told it would be one-storey.
“Myself and other neighbours have made preparations for hot tubs in our garden. Preparations that have already cost money.
“Having children overlook our garden whilst we are swanning round in the ‘privacy’ of our own land is far from wrong and a two-storey building obstruct the nice view completely goes against what I agreed to when buying this property.”
Brian Lewis added: “The only issue I foresee is the obvious parking issues during drop off and pick up times. What assurances can the residents have that this matter has or will be addressed?

You might want to get a chain
You might want to get a chain checker for that (Chain wear indicator as referred to in the article).

And to circle back briefly to
And to circle back briefly to chains, Decathlon have done their utmost to hide their KMC light under a bushel in this example, at least for real world customers.

Just having a poke around
Just having a poke around Decathlon – this is their base toolkit
https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/500-bike-tool-box/_/R-p-145152to which I’d add a few relevant spanners, screwdrivers, those nice Tacx cable cutters and some needlenose pliers to get started.
One like This would be more my preference as it’s got 1″ headset tools, a pin spanner for older b/bs and has cone spanners:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/VonHaus-Bike-Tool-Kit-Piece/I still recommend Decathlon’s set of 3 tyre levers at £2.99, but also some interesting new items here:

Finally, I liked the symbolic energy from their current chain checker ?️
