Hope you all had a good weekend? Monday morning has dawned bright and sunny here and the forecast is good for the week ahead, so we’re looking forward to lots of riding in lovely weather. It’s also idea testing weather for the latest batch of products to arrive in the office, which this week features a couple of bikes, a jersey, new tyres and a set of cranks.
Canyon Endurace AL Disc 7.0
£1,349
The Endurace is the bike in the Canyon range to pick if you value comfort, and this aluminium version is good on the wallet. This model costs £1,349 for which you get a full Shimano 105 groupset with hydraulic disc brakes, and a finishing kit comprising DT Swiss 1800 Spline wheels. It looks good on paper, even better in the flesh, but will it ride well too? Stu Kerton is the man tasked to find out

Saikel Segments Jersey
€125
How do you like this jersey? It’s from a brand new clothing company called Saikel and they are on a mission to add some very bold and daring designs to what it reckons is a rather conservative clothing market. Bold it certainly is, but underneath those looks is an Italian made jersey with some nice details. David Arthur is currently wearing it.

Allied Alfa
£3,000-£3,500 (frameset with stock colours, custom paint is available)
You’ve probably not heard of Allied, unless you read our recent first look, but let us tell you it’s a US brand with a range of very nice looking road and gravel bikes manufactured in the US from carbon fibre. This here is the Alfa, a typical race bike with a focus on low weight and high performance. Among the many nice details present on the frame is the choice of two geometries, one racy and the other a bit more relaxed.

Praxis Zayante 110BCD 172.5 48/32
£199.99
With the constant evolution of bikes, gears have been getting lower making riding up steep hills easier, relatively speaking. With the growth of gravel and adventure bikes, there’s a need for lower gears, and manufacturers have responded with what most are calling sub-compact chainsets. We tested the Praxis Works Alba 48/32t last year and now we have the US company’s brand new carbon fibre Zayante, with the same 48/32t setup. Stu Kerton is going to fit it to a bike and find out how it performs.

Goodyear County Ultimate Tubeless Gravel Tyre 700x35
£60 each
Goodyear has entered the cycling market with a wide range of tyres, and we’ve got a few sets in for review, but first out to a tester are these gravel tyres. While they are called gravel, they actually look a really good choice if you want a wide tyre for road cycling, commuting, touring and Audax, with a smooth centre section and raised shoulder knobs. The tyre is tubeless-ready with full puncture protection casing and weighs 440g on our scales. Jez Ash is currently riding them.
