We have a Vulpine Schwag Grab winner!

Someone's walking off with some top Autumn gear - is it you?...

My word people like the idea of free Vulpine Schwag, over 1200 of you commented in to tell us your favourite cycling season, all bases were covered but early indications are that summer was the winner. And the winner of the Vulpine Harrington Rain Jacket, Cotton Rain Trousers, Long Sleeve Merino Alpine, and Short Sleeve Polo? Well that's…

jimbocrimbo

Who despite what his name might suggest likes cycling in the early autumn best.

Congrats to the winner, who will be getting his fancy clobber soon (well before Chrimbo) and commiserations to the 1,276 of you who lost out. Fret not though we'll have another chance to win some top quality cycling schwag coming your way… Soon.

In the meantime you can console yourself by popping over to  Vulpine to think about what might have been season?

====================================================================

 schwag grab rules apply.

The start of spring. So much to enjoy about the slightly warmer weather, and noticing the things on a bike you'd never spot in a car or bus. Awesome.

Late winter / early spring. Whilst it is still cold, but when you can ride without fear of rain.

Winter commuting, 50km a day of wind, rain and battling cars, potholes and hills. Love it!!!!

Winter
Wrapped up with not a square inch of skin showing. Cold, crisp, clear mornings, rime on the grass beside the road and the low winter sun at your back. The shared sense of achievement with your clubmates of having braved the freezing weather. Knowing that while you may not have covered the most miles that morning, the miles you've done have been for the love of the ride, not of the temperature.

summer - haven't yet found the right gear for me for pounding out the miles in the cold and wet.

Spring. Winter is behind you and months and months of dry(er) riding ahead. Crisp mornings and the buzz of cycling along country lanes with morning frost on the grass and blue sky above.

Early winter - I overheat easily so a dry, yet sunny day means I can get to that end point without looking like a dripping mess!

Autumn - the weather changes and we get the roads back - just did a 3 hour road, very windy and didn't see another cyclist at all!!

It has to be Spring. Bright enough not to suffer from SAD but not enough sun to make me look like a sweating maniac.

Autumn is the fairest cycling season. It's still bright and sunny, but the crispness in the morning hints that I need to make use of this fleeting time before the snows hit. Leaves rustle nicely under the wheels and it's cold enough to break out the thermos of rum-laced hot chocolate.

Spring time for me. Cool fresh mornings, sunny without heat, and no slippery leaves on the road.

Definitely Summer, nothing like slogging it out on a climb on a hot day and then cooling on the decent, also you can imagine you're riding in the July sun in France in the Tour 16 3

Spring, after dragging through the long dark rides through winter and kicking the butt of those people who sat inside because it was a bit too chilly for them!

Usually the season it is just about to become. I always look forward to the changes in the year, from the heat of the summer (hopefully) to the tailwinds of autumn, through to the empty roads of winter and then on to the gradual re-emergence of spring
