We have a Vulpine Schwag Grab winner!

Someone's walking off with some top Autumn gear - is it you?...

My word people like the idea of free Vulpine Schwag, over 1200 of you commented in to tell us your favourite cycling season, all bases were covered but early indications are that summer was the winner. And the winner of the Vulpine Harrington Rain Jacket, Cotton Rain Trousers, Long Sleeve Merino Alpine, and Short Sleeve Polo? Well that's…

jimbocrimbo

Who despite what his name might suggest likes cycling in the early autumn best.

Congrats to the winner, who will be getting his fancy clobber soon (well before Chrimbo) and commiserations to the 1,276 of you who lost out. Fret not though we'll have another chance to win some top quality cycling schwag coming your way… Soon.

In the meantime you can console yourself by popping over to  Vulpine to think about what might have been season?

====================================================================

 schwag grab rules apply.

I'll happily cycle any season, but was something almost magical about cycling last winter up hills with snow banked either side - could pretend the Peak District was was Italian Giro climbs.

Crack of dawn in spring - sun peeping over the tops, mist burning off, dew on the grass. Stunning. 1

Spring. For the feeling when you ditch the 3/4s and get the good bike out for the first time!

There's not a better or worse time to ride, just so long as I'm riding.

Every season has its great moments,... and not so great! Overall, summer for the long warm days and late autumn / early winter for the sense of achievement at the end of a cold, wet and hard ride... so that you can look forward to spring and start again. 1

NOW and whenever throughout the year - any season and weather has a host of positive reasons to make it great. Seeing the seasons change is one the many reasons to go on a long ride.

I was thinking of lovely cold bright winter days and hot sunny summer but then remembered all the cute lambs and lovely views on Chris Crossland's Spring in the Dales audax, so SPRING it is.

Riding in middle of winter when it's snowing because no-one else in their right mind is out on the bike, makes me feel invincible.

Autumn. The long days of summer are over but there is still plenty of time to get out and enjoy the countryside and take the time to watch the season change. Also means that Christmas and birthday are getting near so time to start filling the wish lists with all the new must-have kit 4
