The UCI has announced details of the teams that have qualified for the new team time trial world championship races that make their debut in Limburg in the Netherlands next month. Open to trade teams rather than countries, all 18 WorldTour teams including Britain’s Team Sky qualify for the men’s race, as do a number of teams at UCI Continental and UCI Continental level – including Scotland-based Endura Racing.
Among the qualifiers for the women’s race is the AA-Drink-Leontien.nl team which announced yesterday that it would be folding at the end of the season. The team features several British riders including Olympic road race runner-up Lizzie Armitstead and former world time trial champion Emma Pooley.
Both races take place on Sunday 16 September, the women's on a course of 32.4km from Sittard/Geleen to Valkenburg, the men's having the same start and finish point but with a longer parcours of 53.2km.
Meanwhile, the UCI has also confirmed that Great Britain has qualified the maximum number of riders for both the men’s and women’s elite road races at the world championships. In both cases 14 riders have been enrolled, of whom nine will start in the men’s race and seven in the women’s version.
The full list of teams qualifying for the team time trials is shown below – the countries relate to the team's registration and not necessarily where it is actually based, so Italian outfits Farnese Vini-Selle Italia and Colnago-CSF Inox are shown, respectively, as being registered in Great Britain and Ireland, believed to be for financial purposes.

So, if my thinking is right,
So, if my thinking is right, Sky enter a team for the world TTT and if they win they all wear the rainbow bands whenever they participate in a TTT during the following year 😕
Or is it just the riders on the day that wear the bands ?
If its every team member it sort of cheapens the rainbow bands in my opinion.
No rainbow jersey, just the
No rainbow jersey, just the right to have a logo. Classy.
Article 15: Distinctive sign for winning teams
The winning teams of the Men’s and Women’s events will be authorised to include a distinctive symbol on the riders’ clothing and the various media used by the team starting the beginning of the following season until the end of the season.
This distinctive sign must be submitted and validated by the PCC and the UCI Management Committee. It will subsequently be communicated to teams.

70 teams in all but how many will start? If they all do it will be a long day for all concerned
