The London Cycling Campaign (LCC) is pushing for more membership among the many thousands of extra cyclists who have taken up commuting this summer.
The organisation whose aim is to "strive for a city that encourages Londoners to cycle, creating a healthier and happier place for everyone" already has 11,000 members but isn't letting the grass grow under its wheels while there is such momentum in cycling participation.
The LCC is harnessing the power of the web for the first time to work with road.cc and the bike manufacturer Trek towards grabbing some new members while they're enjoying the benefits of commuting for the first time but before they need legal advice, have their bike stolen or buy further accessories for their bikes.
Just one of the London Cycling Campaign initiatives to make life better for road users
Membership costs £32 per year but for this week and next the LCC are offering a free Trek multi-function bike computer in a cool design that simply snaps on the bars and is incredibly easy to read.
Being an LCC member entitles you to...
LCC members have the peace of mind that comes from being covered for all claims worldwide up to £5 million while they’re on their bike.
LCC cycle-friendly solicitors are on tap for advice. They're experts in personal accident claims, but will also give members the benefit of their years of cycling legal experience on any other legal problems you throw at them.
LCC members get up to 15% off bikes, parts, accessories and/or labour in over 120 bike shops across Greater London.
By being an LCC member you are helping grow the voice of cyclists and give weight to vital campaigns that are making London’s streets safer for cyclists.
LCC members have access to a network of local cycling events and rides in their local area, connecting you to your local community.
