Well, that was rather glorious wasn’t it? Not only were we blessed with scorching summertime temperatures, but we also had the spectacular springtime countryside scenery all around us too. Bliss.
This weekend’s #mycyclingweekend competition winner, lhtuc on Instagram, caught that summery springness in one great photo. Lambs and blazing sunshine. What more could you ask for?
Well, if we’re asking for anything more on a summery day, chances are it’ll be a treat in the image of stefmarazzi’s Mr Whippy below:
While many of you would side with Stef’s sweet choice, aparently a whole load of you over on the road.cc forum have been advising people to try black pudding.
While the blood-based savoury snack is no ice cream, @Al__S on Twitter says he liked it. Though his face says otherwise…
The @roadcc forum had a recommendation of black pudding a ride snack. Superb idea. 8/10 would munch again #mycyclingweekend pic.twitter.com/2HVCYnM7Ge

Of course, the weekend was more than lambs and roadside treats.
The scenery. Oh my goodness, the scenery.
Our favourite shot of the places you lot headed out to ride this week was Gareth Enticott’s lake shot in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Breathtaking.
Coming in at a close second for scenery was zer0sandones’s shot of a beautifully undulating road up in Snowdonia. We were incredibly jealous when we saw it.
Below are a few more of the photos we liked over the weekend.
But before we go, remember that it’s never too late to get involved in the #mycyclingweekend fun. Just upload a photo to Instagram or Twitter and remember to include the #mycyclingweekend hashtag, and you’ll be in with a chance of winning a great prize!
Worth the 6:30am 2°C start. Hampshire, you are naughty but I like you. #mycyclingweekend pic.twitter.com/EFK7fy7DBa
