North London cyclist, 15, killed in collision with motorbike rider

Fatal crash happened in Belsize Park on Saturday afternoon - police seek witnesses

Police in north London are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old cyclist was kllled in a collision with a motorbike rider yesterday.

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at the junction of Malden Road and Queen’s Crescent in Belsize Park.

Officers were called to the scene by paramedics at 2.40pm on Saturday afternoon, The motorcyclist, who was uninjured, was not arrested.

 Police have appealed for anyone who saw the fatal crash or the lead-up to it to contact DC Charlie Pulling via the witness appeal line on 020 8991 9555.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: In particular, officers are keen to trace a white Vuaxhall Mokka which stopped at a pedestrian crossing just in front of where the collision occurred.

“This car was not involved in the collision but the occupants may have seen what happened,” police added.
