Tour of Britain seeks presentation hostess

Your chance to stand on the Tour of Britain podium - but sorry chaps, it's ladies only!...

Organisers of the Tour of Britain are looking for someone to play a high-profile role in the event this September, and you’re guaranteed to be featured on TV and press coverage of the event – but sorry, chaps, the position is that of presentation hostess, so it’s strictly ladies only.

Race organisers told road.cc that one hostess, Lauren, who has worked with the event for several years, will remain with the race and they are looking for a second hostess to help out , preferably someone who is a cycling fan, and perhaps an aspiring model or drama student.

They describe it as a great chance to see what happens behind the scenes of Britain’s biggest bike race, and if you think you have what it takes – or know someone who does – and are free during the Tour of Britain, which runs from 11th to 18th September, the next step is to drop an email to Kathryn at the Tour of Britain to let her know why you think you what it takes to be one of the race’s presentation hostesses. Good luck!

Surely there's an ITV talent show in the making here, get the Great British public to vote for the next hostess!

What a coincidence, I'm looking for a podium girl too.

Because the tall leggy blonde at the Tour Series is the very same Lauren who is mentioned in the article (and who is on the left of the pic above of last year's Tour of Britain London stage) 26

Mind you, cloning's been in the news a bit recently... 39
