Prendas Ciclismo is launching two new garments which will help raise money for the Dave Rayner Fund. Fittingly, it is a version of the Raleigh Banana kit worn by Dave Rayner when he rode for the team from 1988 to 1989.
Since February 2014, Prendas Ciclismo has worked with Rocket Espresso Milano on a range of clothing. All sales result in donations being made to the Dave Rayner Fund, which offers grants to young male and female riders to help them live and race abroad.
Donations from Prendas Ciclismo have so far totalled more than £18,000 – and now there will be even more clothing on offer.
Faithfully produced by the original team clothing manufacturer, Santini, the Raleigh Banana retro jersey and matching bib shorts are officially licensed by Raleigh UK.
Mick Tarrant of Prendas Ciclismo said “We are very pleased to return this eye-catching jersey back to the marketplace. Given the fact that Dave Rayner rode for the team, we felt it was only right that the Dave Rayner Fund received a £10 donation for every garment sold.
“Along with sales of the existing Rocket Espresso Milano garments, we hope these two new garments will help us hit the twenty thousand pound mark during the festive sales period.”
Speaking on behalf of the Dave Rayner Fund, Joscelin Ryan said: “The Fund is very grateful to both Prendas Ciclismo and Rocket Espresso Milano for their continued support. These funds make a very real difference to young riders allowing them to experience life abroad in their quest to become professional cyclists.”

Hi All
Hi All
Thanks for your interest in the Raleigh Banana items.
Both the jersey and bib shorts will be available in December.
Given it’s mid-November, that’s not too long to wait.

Ah, it’s not like the old days…
