Velon teams to provide RideLondon with live on-bike footage

The 11 WorldTour teams who are part of the Velon collective have signed a deal with the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic which will see them provide live and delayed on-bike video footage to the race for the next three years.

RideLondon will become part of the UCI WorldTour in 2017 and while as one of ten events new to that level WorldTour teams are not obliged to enter, the 11 Velon teams have confirmed that they will be taking part from 2017-2019. The race organisers will also extend invitations to each of the 2017 WorldTour teams who are not part of Velon.

The partnership will also see the Velon teams providing live and delayed on-bike video footage as well as live rider data. The race will be televised by the BBC and broadcast to 152 countries worldwide.

2016 winner Tom Boonen (Etixx–Quick-Step) said:
