Upcoming team road.cc rideout dates announced

Free entry, some cake, a schwag giveaway and even a bit of cycling - get your name down for a road.cc rideout

Since the launch of team road.cc we've been running our rideouts from various parts of the country joined by a few hundred of you so far for nibbles, plenty of coffee and some very sociable riding in and around the towns, cities and villages of the UK. Well okay England as we haven't quite managed to get across the borders yet but we are coming, promise.

What's a road.cc rideout?

Well, that 'cc' bit there at the end of road.cc stands for cycling club, which in our case is team road.cc and the rideouts are effectively our club runs. You don't need to be a member to ride with us but you do get a lot of extra benefits by joining - take a look at what we've been up to here.

Most of the events have either been from our Bath HQ or hosted by some of the well known cycling retailers which have included Cycle Surgery, Hargroves Cycles and Decathlon helping out with ride leaders and route planning which means the road.cc team can concentrate on the riding and having a chat with you lot.

Team road.cc Winchester ride out - We're back.jpg

The basic plan is we meet up, have some coffee and cake before a quick rider briefing to decide who's riding which route, we normally lay on two - a short one and a long one. The pace isn't anything too manic with the usual club etiquette of no one getting left behind respected.

After a midway cafe stop we head back to the HQ to consume more coffee and snacks before the practically legendary road.cc Schwagaway begins. All finishers basically get entered into the draw to choose some free cycling goodies.

Oh, it's all free too! All you have to do is register by clicking on the links for each event below.

As part of the tech team here at F-At Digital, senior product reviewer Stu spends the majority of his time writing in-depth reviews for road.cc, off-road.cc and ebiketips using the knowledge gained from testing over 1,500 pieces of kit (plus 100's of bikes) since starting out as a freelancer back in 2009. After first throwing his leg over a race bike back in 2000, Stu's ridden more than 170,000 miles on road, time-trial, track, and gravel bikes, and while he's put his racing days behind him, he still likes to smash the pedals rather than take things easy. With a background in design and engineering, he has an obsession with how things are developed and manufactured, has a borderline fetish for handbuilt metal frames and finds a rim braked road bike very aesthetically pleasing!

Would be interested in the Bath rideouts if they were at the weekend rather than weekdays.
